“The” is the overarching character of Flowers in Antarctica.
They are the omnipotent ruler, embodiment, and creator of the VOID, creator of the Embodiments, and most powerful being in all of existence.
Personality[]
"The" is a being of true neutrality, existing beyond the moral concepts of good and evil. Detached from emotional or ethical inclinations, they view the universe, the Void, and all existence as a grand cosmic balance. They see no need to intervene unless balance is disrupted, and even then, their actions are not motivated by kindness or malice, but by the maintenance of equilibrium. "The" is calm, patient, and analytical, with an eternal perspective that transcends personal biases or attachments. They are impartial, neither compassionate nor cruel, and act only when necessary to preserve order in the vastness of the Void.
History[]
Beginning of Existence[]
“The” created themselves, initially taking on the form of the VOID. Later, they manifested a new humanoid form. Following this, “The” created Umbrenia, the embodiment of darkness, and then went on to create the other embodiments. During the formation of the embodiments, one of them, later known as the One Behind the Wall, began attacking the others, starting with Ylianos, embodiment of Light, Creation, and Good. As the battle between the embodiments raged on, “The” reappeared, halting the conflict and retreating back into the VOID.
The One Behind the Wall’s Imprisonment[]
After Vaelor rebelled against Heaven, he, along with five other powerful angels, settled in Hell, where they began to plan the overthrow of the One Behind the Wall. Vaelor called upon three formidable entities for assistance: Fiomi, Umbrenia, and “The”. Together, they succeeded in their mission, with “The” creating an unbreakable cell within the VOID to contain the One Behind the Wall. Once their task was completed, “The” disappeared once again, retreating back into the VOID.
Reappearance in the 1500s[]
In an unknown year during the 1500s, “The” appeared in Hell, seeking the whereabouts of the Lankman. After finding him in the Greed Ring of Hell, they asked if he wanted to join the cause to neutralize the One Behind the Wall. The Lankman, however, refused. Undeterred, “The” left Hell and journeyed to Earth, where they communed with humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and other beings.
Present[]
Currently, “The” continues to pursue their goal of bringing balance to the Omniverse. They are now incredibly close to achieving this objective, with only three more steps remaining.
