Akuna Umeadi Brown, better known as Akuna Umeadi, is the deuteragonist of the Disney+ Original Series Jungle Safari Kareem, spin-off to The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
He is Kareem's older paternal half-brother, Bahati and Gand Papaw's grandson, Alcindor and Mbatha's son and Kalisha's stepson who comes from a village in Africa that was destroyed by the White Hunter, Nyeupe Jangili who poaches animals, which would lead Akuna to get help from his American family, and learn the true meaning of reconciling with his estranged father and bond with his younger brother.
He is voiced by John Boyega who also voiced Bigwig in the 2018 miniseries of Watership Down and portrayed Moses in Attack the Block, Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy and Jake Pentecost in Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Akuna Umeadi was known to be one of the bravest and protective members of his village, and found himself and by others as a good boy when the former was a child growing up, and being raised by his parents.
After his mother was killed during the massacre of his village, Akuna became very lost and grieved upon those who he mourned, and found so much pain about losing loved ones, and even showed bitterness and disappointment when his father wasn't around to protect them. However, Akuna knew that his father was very different from him and Mbatha, because they were from different places, and he wanted to understand, but didn't know how, and only thought his dad wanted nothing to do with them when he returned to his life in California.

- He is named by the nicknames of Black British actors Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
- Despite being Kareem's older brother, his voice actor John Boyega is nine years younger than Donald Glover, the voice actor of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Brown.
