Apple Bloom is a supporting character in the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls/Danganronpa crossover Danganronpa: In Harmony's Wake by Dewdrops on the Grass. She is Applejack's younger sister and one of the participants in the killing game.
Personality[]
Apple Bloom is friendly toward the other killing game participants, except the first case's Blackened when they are discovered as a murderer. Apple Bloom is very close with her sister Applejack. She tries to reign in her older sister's excess anger. She doesn't like when her sister or other people act mean. She has a sarcastic side, which she shows when Diamond Tiara bosses her around and when Trixie acts egotistical. Apple Bloom does not like being in small spaces.
She is a trusting person, since Monoponi gave her a "secret" that Sunset Shimmer was a bully, liar, and manipulator, yet she still chose to give her life to save her. She indicated belief in an afterlife where she would see her parents, though she made have just said that to comfort Applejack.
Biography[]
Apple Bloom went to Canterlot High School, where she was friends with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. According to Monoponi, Apple Bloom digitally pirated movies for the Canterlot Movie Club.
Apple Bloom was in her second year at Canterlot University when the killing game started. She was the second person in her family to go to college, after Applejack, and the first to study for a four-year degree.
Prologue[]
She is first seen sitting alongside her sister Applejack and nearby Timber Spruce. She and Applejack invited them to sit down and talk. She introduced herself to them.
Chapter 1[]
When Monoponi declared there is a traitor among the captives, Apple Bloom said that he might be lying about there being a traitor. When other people suspect Sunset Shimmer as the traitor due to her knowing about Danganronpa and claiming a land called Equestria exists, Apple Bloom joins her sister in declaring her trust in Sunset Shimmer, leading more people to place their trust in her.
When Applejack and Rarity started arguing, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle pulled them apart and told them to break up the argument.
Apple Bloom was a member of the search party who went to look for Sunset Shimmer when she slept until noon and was believed to be missing.
Apple Bloom became friends with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, just like she was before they lost their memories of each other.
Early in the ship's trial for the murder of Wallflower Blush, Apple Bloom admitted that she didn't look at the body closely. When Adagio Dazzle insulted Trixie Lulamoon's intelligence, Apple Bloom scolded her. Apple Bloom noticed that the culprit used rope to tie up Wallflower and gave out the idea that they could find the culprit by finding out who had rope. However, this led to Rainbow Dash being falsely suspected of being the culprit. When one group suspected Sunset Shimmer, Apple Bloom joined the other group in giving her the benefit of the doubt. Apple Bloom suggested searching for where the culprit got ipecac to spike the apple cider. This led to everyone figuring out that the culprit stole Adagio Dazzle's first aid kit and that it contained ipecac. This was a big step to discovering the culprit.
Apple Bloom was sad when Timber Spruce was discovered to be the culprit. Timber Spruce explained his motivation, that due to his lost memories, he wanted to find out if his sister was safe. While some of the others sympathized with Timber Spruce, Apple Bloom was very angry at him, stating that Wallflower Blush died for nothing because he wouldn't ever get his memory of his sister's fate back. She saw him as just a no-good murderer. After Monoponi played the footage of Timber Spruce murdering Wallflower, Apple Bloom cried for Wallflower.
Chapter 2[]
When Applejack got angry at Monoponi talking, Apple Bloom encouraged her not to pay him any mind because he was just trying to make people angry. When Diamond Tiara tried to make herself group leader, Apple Bloom expressed that the group probably didn't need a leader, as that might invite more conflict.
Trixie enlisted Apple Bloom's and Sunset's help in setting up and performing the magic show. Apple Bloom planned out and built a box for the Origami magic trick. She constructed supports, a box handle, and a stand for the swords using her building skills. She volunteered to be on stage for technical support.
Monoponi gave everyone secrets of each other. Apple Bloom received a secret that Sunset Shimmer was a bully, liar, and manipulator who tormented members of the group in high school. Apple Bloom told Sunset Shimmer that she had begun to believe that Equestria was real, but asked Sunset how she knew about it. She told Sunset, even with the information in the secret, that she trusted Sunset and that Sunset was trustworthy because of how she led the trial.
During the magic show, Apple Bloom was right off stage. She noticed a trap was about to go off, screamed "Look out!", and rushed over and pushed Sunset and Trixie out of the trap's way, but the trap pushed a spear right through Apple Bloom's chest. If not for Apple Bloom's sacrifice, Sunset would have died. Apple Bloom bled out as Applejack held her in her arms. Apple Bloom indicated belief in an afterlife as she told Applejack she was going to see their deceased parents again. In her dying breath, she told Applejack that she loved her.
Chapter 6[]
Alongside the other killing game participants who had died, her spirit cheered on Sunset Shimmer after Sunset went into despair. Sunset got a vision of her standing alongside the others who had died.
