~ Axol's last words, right before sacrificing himself. |
Axol is a major character in the SMG4 series, Serving as a major character in Cosmology Lore Trilogy in the Modern Era, first appearing as the overarching protagonist of the Anime Arc up until Revelations as the secondary antagonist (while possessed by Niles).
He is a manga artist from Inkopolis (though he lived in Japan, who now possibly resides in the Mushroom Kingdom) who was introduced in The Anime Arc. Currently, during the events of In SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2021, he had gained a scar after being unwillingly distorted by Niles as a vessel to consume SMG4’s universe and was willingly killed by love interest Melony in order to kill Niles.
He was voiced by Kevin Lerdwichagul, who also voices Fishy Boopkins.
Roles[]
In the Modern Era He serves as the overarching protagonist of the Anime Arc and Season 9, a supporting protagonist in The YouTube Arc and Season 10, the secondary antagonist (while possessed by Niles) of the Genesis Arc and a major protagonist in Season 11, a posthumous protagonist in Season 12 and the Revelations Arc, the posthumous overarching protagonist of SMG4 Movie: REVELATIONS and a posthumous protagonist in following seasons including The New Era. A digital replica of him also appears as a minor protagonist in SMG4 Movie: WESTERN SPAGHETTI.
Legacy[]
Afterwards the revelations arc, he is occasionally visited by Melony in Purgatory, being happy for her, but convinces her to go back home to look after her friends.
His memories with Melony inspired the latter to become a mangaka in his honour and began selling manga in MARIO GOES ON DEATH ROW. She even owns a pet named after her fallen friend and the same species.
Appearance[]
Axol appears to be an anthropomorphic axolotl, an aquatic salamander. He wears a blue long-sleeved shirt, navy blue pants, and a belt that carries ink grenades. His weapon of choice is an Inkweaver, a large pen with a red claw on top. As of SMG4: The Internet Graveyard, he has gained a scar on his left eye.
Whilst possessed by Niles, his scar heals and pieces of his skin become missing, exposing wireframes, with his right eye taking it the worst. His left eye is widened, his skin also seems to become more orange, and he gains horns similar in appearance to Zero’s.
Personality[]
Axol is a famous manga artist. Despite being popular, he is not highly prideful, but he is very friendly and helpful towards others, including SMG4 and friends, whom he helped in making anime and manga legalized again in the Mushroom Kingdom.
When being kidnapped by Francis, he becomes very "remorseful" for what he did, by saying that he is responsible for Francis stealing his magic pen.
Axol despite his egotistical nature, he really has a determined side and is very intelligent enough to understand complex designs in Anime culture, as when he uses it to save his friends and drew “Ultra Instinct Shaggy” to save his friends before Francis base explodes.
Axol really loves to share with everyone, as he shared the food with Mario in SMG4: Mario Works at McDonalds.
