	~ The BLU Spy to the RED Engineer before facing the entire squad of RED mercenaries.

The BLU Spy is the titular main protagonist of the SFM animation, Spy's Disguise.

He is a BLU Spy, working for the BLU Team who accidentally discovered a way to merge himself with a sentry built by BLU Engineer, becoming an undisputed and weaponized fighter. This led to him single-handedly defeating the entire RED squadron to the point of insanity, which to the conflict of the RED Engineer, who seeks to settle the score without respawning.

Personality[]

BLU Spy is presented as a 'hero by proxy', presented to the beginning of the chapters through 1 and 2, where he was a huge selfish jerk along with being an arrogant, hot-headed and vengeful individual who can't take a break from getting killed many times by the RED Team. Even at the opening he curses at the BLU Engineer and hitting him when being greeted into the battlefield like it's a waking nightmare.

After becoming half-cyborg, he is much more of a jerk and overconfident which made the RED Team infuriated with his presence, including the RED Engineer for always being an easy target for him. BLU Spy has no issue committing cannibalism when morphing into a teleporter and consuming the Engineer, let alone killing a band of RED Snipers even though they're not attacking him. He also shows a risk-taking side when he, together with BLU Engineer, sends a note to the RED Engineer to settle their feud, while taunting him so that neither team has access to respawn.

He can be brutal with his fighting methods due to his mixed arsenal as he killed the majority of the RED Team with the help of his colleague, including their Heavy by burning him alive. Later, his personality shifts into a more focused persona, as he becomes more aware of the individuals around him, even healing BLU Engineer from his injuries when he forms a needle with one of his arms, and even tries to alert the BLU mercenaries at the Engineer party about the RED Engineer (who was in his mech suit).

In the aftermath, he gets hallucinations of the RED Engineer.

Biography[]

BLU Spy was first seen at the beginning in a drowsy tone which BLU Engineer politely greets him, only for the Spy to insult him as he walks towards the battlefield. He fails numerous times due to being outdone by every member of the RED Team for being an easily suspecting target, which led to BLU Spy respawning again and again.

In chapter 2, Spy became enraged after spawning again as he threw his disguise kit at Engineer's sentry, causing it to be pulled inside. Spy then picks it up and gets the opportunity to get the upper hand at the opposing team, disguising himself as notable objects while eliminating one by one, which left the RED Team paranoid. The RED Engineer finds a note written by both BLU Spy and Engineer who prompts RED to settle their odds at Badwater Basin, which leads to the destruction of the respawn system by his own hands as part of their bargain including killing Pyro, due to seeing a vivid hallucination of BLU Spy.

Later in chapter 3, he then instructs his teammates to scan for BLU Spy's notable disguise as one of his sentries upon preparing their attack. BLU Spy reveals himself with a distorted voice as he insults the RED Engineer to which a battle ensues, manipulating attributes to his body as he eliminates each RED teammate with the aid of BLU Engineer, who takes down the line of Snipers. Spy then runs out of ammo and wrestles with RED Heavy who almost gets the upper hand, until Spy uses his abilities to overpower Heavy. Spy then uses Heavy's ammo to reload his minigun arms and congratulates BLU Engineer. RED Engineer then happens to shoot the latter which horrifies Spy and calls him a "monster". He then shoots a projectile towards his injured comrade to heal his wounds and approaches the RED Engineer, but he was sabotaged by his RED counterpart who paralyzes him with a sapper.

As he was about to be killed, he was saved by BLU Engineer, who kicks the sapper off his back. Suddenly BLU Engineer was presumably finished off by RED Engineer, who shoots him in the head. Spy then prepares his fight, but was ticked with unease as the RED Engineer assembled himself a robot suit as Spy sets away to the sky to continue his battle with Engineer.

Later in chapter 5, Spy manages to rip off RED Engineer's packet which sends him crashing onto a wooden bridge. Spy then pins himself to a wall and stumbles upon a poster for an Engineer party, but was disappointed due to seeing a "No Spies" policy. He then disguised himself as a dispenser and warns the other Engineers through his cop caller about the RED Engineer's upcoming threat, but they dissuade his pleas to continue on their own terms. After RED Engineer slaughters the majority of Engineers on sight, Spy then transforms back from the dispenser and quickly hid from RED Engineer. He then notices an Engineer hiding behind the table, he then quietly instructs the latter to reach for the button to activate the saw blade, to which afterwards the Engineer was brutally crushed by the RED Engineer with a pile of logs as he attempted to return.

Spy was saddened over the cause and attempted to heal him, however the Engineer quickly died of his injuries. Spy then launches a barrage of objects in luring RED to finish their fight like gentleman, as he grabs a shotgun, shooting through a dead Engineer and backs RED Engineer down against the saw blade. Unfortunately Spy got struck by a piece of rubble, knocking him out.

In the last chapter, the RED Engineer tortures the BLU Spy by stepping on him, but Spy endures the pain and sarcastically accommodates the near victory of the RED Engineer. Just then the latter was hit by an upcoming vehicle which launches his mechanical suit away and crashes into a wall. The individual was revealed to be the BLU Engineer, who survived the pistol wound thanks to a Dead Ringer, which Spy then smiled at his friend.

However, the moment was cut short as the BLU Engineer quickly ducks both himself and Spy from RED Engineer, who had recovered from the collision and threw the truck towards them. BLU Engineer then instructs Spy to avoid RED's miniguns, which RED Engineer's left arm shot viciously at both BLU Spy and Engineer, separating each other as they go to a nearby place to cover themselves.

BLU Spy then picks up his pistol and shows it to RED Engineer who laughs in utter nonsense, but Spy's eyes look up towards a crane in his distorted blue vision, which he sees a giant crane holding up a stack of wooden logs. He says to the RED Engineer who was still laughing to "burn in hell" before shooting his last bullet towards the crane which lets go of all the logs, crushing the RED Engineer to death.

Spy then passes out after the fainted calls from his friend. When the screen fades to black, a comparison of BLU Spy looking at a robotic doppelganger show from side to side as they both reach for each other, which Spy quickly then wakes up screaming on a hospital bed and began experiencing vivid hallucinations of RED Engineer smiling at him. Spy shoots at the figment at the window above him, which alarmed the BLU Engineer into the room with a loaded shotgun.

BLU Engineer then introduces Spy to a Medic who reveals to him a cassette tape, documenting his stages of his treatment which revealed the horrific and defied dis-morph within his DNA due to being infused with his disguise kit for long periods as Spy digitally morphs in and out of a sentry model before collapsing with foam in his mouth, briefly turned into his robotic doppelganger, after which the doctor gestured a cross in empathy after seeing the footage.

As Spy became sickly distraught, he sees another image of RED Engineer attempting to encourage Spy to reach out for something in his front pocket, but was stopped by the BLU Engineer and tells his friend to leave the hospital to be transported for later treatment. Spy was last seen looking out to one last view of RED Engineer as the vehicle drives away through the highway, while the RED Engineer's ghost smokes a cigarette.

He shares similarities with Crash Maul's character, Epic Scout.
- Both are members of BLU Team.
- Both were once ordinary mercenaries before they became a one-man army with superhuman prowess (Spy becoming half-cyborg thanks to his disguise kit absorbing Engineer's equipment. Epic Scout after a fusion of BONK energy drink and bottle of rum).
