William "Billy" Nolan, now known as Billy Nolan Sr, is a major antagonist in the 2002 TV film Carrie and the deuteragonist in the Wattpad fanfiction A light in the darkness.
He once took part in the plan to humiliate Carrie (who would later become his wife), but abandoned that after some time in the hospital. He is the father of Billy Nolan Jr and Sasha Rita Nolan.

Aftermath of The Black Prom[]
After some time in the hospital, Billy, after hearing his abusive family is dead, hides inside the cargo hold of a plane, and after arriving in Orlando, Florida, he drowns himself in remorse for what he had done prior. At some point, he started going to Burton's Thornton Park.
Encountering Carrie[]
Now knowing where to start, Carrie arrives at the Burton's Thornton Park, where she runs into Billy Nolan Sr, who somehow survived The Black Prom incident. He apologizes for his role in the pig blood prank, and Carrie forgives him.
After Billy tells her of his chaotic home life, Carrie forgives him, and they settle on going to Orange County Corrections Department. There, they run into Jackie Talbot, who confirms that Chris Hargensen, was indeed, still alive. After 5 weeks of hanging out, the two begin a relationship.
Re-encounter with Chris[]
At Bill Frederick Park, Chris arrived, and was recognized by Carrie, and later Miss Rita Desjarden, who told her that it was her own fault that she didn't get to go to the prom.
However, Chris refused, and attempted to kill Miss Desjarden, but Carrie disarmed Chris with her telekinesis. Then, a chase erupted, and then, Chris tried all she could to regain control of the vehicle, but shot at the gas tank while holding her GP100 revolver pistol, causing Carrie, Billy, and Miss Desjarden to leap out as it exploded upon crashing into Wendy's, causing the establishment to explode as well, killing those who were inside.
Chris, with a sadistic smile on her face, approached Miss Desjarden, who was already on her knees due to having jumped out of the car. After that, she killed Miss Desjarden, then kidnapped both Carrie and Billy. On the way to her lair, Chris was humming Good Morning by Gene Kelly while behind the wheel, all the while Billy and Carrie were jostled around.
Torturing Carrie and Billy[]
Later at the lair, Nicholas Brenzoff explained that he left the Soviet Union the day before they collapsed. Carrie showed a sympathetic facial expression, but Chris Hargensen pushed her down the stairs while Carrie was still tied up to the chair.
Then, she threw Billy down the stairs while Carrie was suffering from a broken left leg. The door opened, where Chris Hargensen had a drill in her left hand, intent on lobotomizing Carrie and Billy with it, but the two got out of the house.
Before Chris could make another attempt to lobotomize them, she was knocked out by Norma Watson, who had a baseball bat.
The chase[]
After Nicholas's death, along with the deaths of the members of his Russian mafia group that Chris had been secretly watching, she had a sadistic look on her face at what she is seeing, continues driving, but Timothy Donnohue is shocked by the deaths of Nicholas Brenzoff and the members of his Russian mafia group. After arriving at an abandoned railroad depot in Terra Ceia, Florida, Chris had all the explosives she wants in her van, but she decided to use her improvised explosive device to blow up a section of the bridge, taking joy in the carnage that is about to unfold.
Final battle and death of Chris Hargensen[]
After Chris reveals her plan, which Carrie, Billy, and Norma had secretly overheard, they arrive on location. Carrie demands that Chris shut down the machine, telling her that it's over, but she goads them into coming and making her, resulting in Carrie fighting Chris, Norma fighting Timothy, and Billy shutting down the machine. During the battle, Chris fatally shot Norma, who had killed Timothy.
Chris, coming to the realization she is losing, pulls out a Smith & Wesson 386 revolver from her ankle holster, and fires a shot at Carrie, the bullet hitting her in her left shoulder. Billy, seeing what had happened, goes to try and help her, but Chris pistol whips him square in the forehead, knocking him to the ground. Carrie, screaming in pain from her gunshot injury, saw that Chris had her left foot on Carrie's left hand, and her right foot on the other hand.
Chris then goes onto try and manipulate Carrie into allowing her to help with a tampon to deal with her gunshot wound. Billy, knowing that the tampon would bring Carrie PTSD flashbacks over her first period, fires two shots into Chris's stomach with Timothy's gun, avenging the death of Miss Desjarden.
1 week and 2 days later[]
After the funeral for Norma, Carrie and Billy got tickets to go on Amtrak for the station in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Some time later, the two got on the California Zephyr, and after they arrived at the station in Mount Pleasant, they went to a nearby car dealership. There, Carrie bought a tan 2001 Buick Century, while Billy bought a tan 4-door 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500. And after that, the two went to Newton, Iowa, where the two decided they were going to live two blocks away from one another. Carrie, while sitting in her new house, misses Sue Snell, and makes plans for another date night with Billy. She was relieved to finally be free of Chris. Carrie then called Sue Snell, who was at her house. After the phone call, she relaxed.
Marrying Carrie[]
Just 3 years later, Billy Nolan Sr, wearing a black suit and brown bowtie, was standing at the right side of the altar at Lutheran Chruch First Elca. He had picked Jackie Talbot, who had gone straight, as his best man. Sue Snell, one of the bridesmaids, was sitting in the front row. The one who officiated the wedding was Kenny Garson, who miracously survived The Black Prom. Billy had been training him for his role since proposing to Carrie. After the two married, they had a wedding cake and dance, where they then left with a sign saying "Just Married". The two then had Billy Nolan Jr as a son and Sasha Rita Nolan as a daughter.
19 years later[]
She then came home with Billy Nolan Jr, who had some Peanut Butter M & M's, much to Sasha's disgust. Billy Nolan Sr then explained to his daughter Billy Nolan Jr's autism, where Sasha was reading a book on Temple Grandin to understand her brother's diagnosis. Later, Carrie looked around in her and Billy Nolan Sr's bedroom, and saw a framed photo of them. Carrie smiled that she had something better than her previous life, a family of her own.
Personality[]
Billy Nolan Sr was a mentally unhinged person that instigated the pig blood prank. However, after some time in the hospital, he gained the ability to feel remorse and would eventually redeem himself by supporting Carrie in the battle with Chris Hargensen, eventually becoming a loving father to his two children, Billy Nolan Jr and Sasha.
