Biography[]
Background[]
Bruno was originally an unassuming man, married to a woman named Dolores and having a daughter named Eve. His relationship with Dolores would be strained due to his gambling addiction, and things would worsen after Eve became ill. Desperate for a way to find the money to save his daughter, Bruno breaks into Wario's Fast Food Factory so he can steal Wario's secret hamburger recipe. He succeeds in doing this by wearing the Wario Man costume, which causes everyone except Wario to not suspect him. After Wario finds him wearing it, Bruno panics. Unknown to him, Wario had achieved success by reading from a cursed book, which summoned a demonic entity named Emma to Earth and gave Wario great success. The presence of the cursed entity causes Bruno to panic so much that he attacks and kills Wario, and eventually kills Waluigi, Mario, Luigi, and Peach as well. Before he can leave, Emma curses the souls of his murder victims and they come back as demonic entities, killing Bruno. Upon his death, Bruno begins possessing the Wario Man costume.
Five Nights at Wario's[]
Bruno is seen in the bathroom sometimes whenever the camera isn't deactivated, his spirit possessing the Wario Man suit and causing the lights in the room to flicker rapidly.
Five Nights at Wario's 3[]
Bruno is seen in the good ending of the game, where Edward Coleman plays the music box that he found in the McRoy house while hiding in the cellar. The noise attracts Bruno's spirit down into the cellar where he finds the spirits of Wario, Waluigi, Mario, and Luigi. He explains that he is the one who killed them, and apologizes for what he did, asking if they can ever forgive him. This allows their spirits to be freed from Emma's curse and move on, as well as the spirit of Peach, who was possessing Richard McRoy. Following their spirits being freed, Bruno's spirit left the mortal world as well.
Five Shows at Wario's[]
Unlike the others who moved on to the afterlife, Bruno's spirit found itself in the Grey City, an underworld ruled by Entity 01 and the demonic virus Emma. Bruno would then be told that he had to participate in a series of shows for the entertainment the entities holding him there, but he is sent a message by Christopher Peterson informing him that he is no longer physically alive, and that he is being tricked. Bruno listens to this, and while he finishes all of the shows, he continues to search for a way out of the Grey City. Bruno travels the Grey City and finds a house that he begins exploring, although he finds that the VIRUS forms of those he killed are haunting him within the house. He survives for several nights, eventually escaping the house, at which point he is informed by Emma that she was using him in order to gain entry into the mortal world, as his suffering allowed his soul to be used as a gateway, at which point she leaves him behind in the void.
Bruno is eventually approached by Entity 01, as the plan for Emma to travel into the mortal world is stopped by Christopher and James. Entity 01 makes Bruno an offer to create a new timeline where Bruno will return to the mortal world and have his daughter be cured, but Bruno must access the cursed book that Wario once read in order to summon Entity 01 to Earth by selling his soul. Bruno accepts this and upon reaching the mortal world he steals the book from Wario's Fast Food Factory. He contemplates reading it for a long time, but he decides it is worth it in order to save his daughter, considering all of those he killed are alive in this timeline. Bruno reads from the book and Entity 01 is summoned, at which point Bruno flees as the demon lays waist to the human world. Wario is able to defeat Entity 01, but the deal is still honored, and Bruno's daughter is cured. What ultimately became of him is unknown, but Bruno sent a letter before his disappearance to Wario, apologizing for all he had done.
