Many heroes originate from other adaptations from original series or have made changes varying on the version. Many of these heroes may be more or much more heroic and have alterations that change them as a character with their appearance with how the appear to look like and their personality with how they react with others.

For instance, there are alternate versions of Sonic characters on this site along with various versions of Sonic on this site. Or characters who originated into books that had a story plot and had another sequence that would, later on, put the character into live-action or cartoon films or a spin-off. Many times when they are put into a newer series they would often have a lot of alternate changes that would make them appear more different than how they were made. Mostly because of making the characters easier to grasp and recall. A lot of stuff would be taken or change up with the character to make the story with the character's actions a lot less complicated or easily summarized.

Characters based off of real-life people do not really count since this is for heroes who have had numerous origins with their story unless they were put into actual media as fictional characters and have been changed and altered over time.

Canon Foreigners can not count as Adaptational Heroism unless they had done more heroic acts in a different version of a story. Canon Foreigners originate in adaptations so there isn't much of a source originating to lend them the heroic traits.

Many Adaptational Heroes could fit in Pure of Heart as long as they have a good moral agency and could clearly tell between right and wrong (e.g. Squidward Tentacles). Adaptational Heroes who are written to still have the previous reimaginings of the character with or have had bad traits being either deceptive, anti-heroic or even being evil like from their originations cannot qualify for Pure of Heart since they have been known to be mischievous and deceitful which aren't qualifying traits for Pure of Heart what so ever.
