Deities

Deities of religion, folklore or mythology, that are either actively heroic (such as Thor or Hercules) or are benefactors to heroes in some fashion. Demigods, which can refer either to half-deities or minor deities depending on the context, are a sub-category. Some deities themselves are heroes in their own right as they use their immense power to benefit other people, while others could be neutral or villainous depending on their actions.

NOTE: Entities who share similarities with Deities but are not worshiped (or at least not the same species as ones who are worshiped) should go under Cosmic Entities instead.
