Guile Heroes are intelligent heroes who will use intelligence, sharp wit and street smarts to win, typically by tricking the villain into defeat.
Just like with the Pure of Heart category, proposals should be made before adding this category. For more information on Guile Heroes, please visit the criteria. You must be whitelisted to make a Guile Hero proposal.
You can't remove the category from pages, tagged with this template, WITHOUT making a removal proposal. Users who insist on breaking this rule will face a block. ONLY admins and moderators can add or remove this template from an article - users, who add this template or remove it, will face a 1-week block, which will increase with each violation of the rule.
NOTE: Dimwits and Incompetents cannot count for obvious reasons (which is exactly why the Fake Inept category exists on the wiki). If a hero has too many qualities that detract from their intelligence and/or heroism, then they can't count either.
Also, while Guile Heroes can pretty much be considered the good counterpart to Magnificent Baddies, the two don't exclude each other and a hero can in fact be both a GH and a MB.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that, unlike Magnificent Baddies, Guile Heroes CAN be Cowards, petty or overall unlikeable. They also don't necessarily need to be Charismatic.
Xenophobes and Fallen can count too sometimes.
Finally, Guile Heroes aren't always necessarily manipulative, but they DO stand out intelligence-wise in the work they come from.
