Mastermind

Masterminds, also known as Heroic Brainiacs, are heroes who have a clever personality. They are amongst the smartest beings, in which they will plan things to very good lengths and will at all times, have a backup idea in mind.

Note: Even though they seem to go hand in hand, do not add this category with Geniuses, as it is the step above and it is often redundant. Just because a mastermind may have had their moments of being flawed, clumsy or making mistakes in behavior or decisions (e.g overthinking or overestimating something as well as underestimating others), that does not mean they're automatically Dimwits or Manchildren if these heroes happen to be genuinely wise, self-aware, knowledgeable and generally intelligent people with great memory overall compared to a ditzy genius. Where a Dimwit (even with their Genius moments or traits) is usually way too dull/dense in terms of wits and tend to be too naive, foolish, clueless, deluded, forgetful, oblivious and simplistic to realize how they really are in general.

However, it's entirely possible for a Mastermind to be Misguided or come across as such if they're arrogant and obsessed (e.g Joebotnik McCricket), in these sorts of situations, they will eventually learn from their mistakes and remain rational with their own sagacious levels of common sense with a form of wisdom in contrast to a typical Egomaniac, a Hothead, or even a typical Genius.

A mastermind who is Incompetent will only be done if they are comical characters whose failures are played up for comedic value. (e.g SMG3)

Note: Also, it must be noted that master manipulators, pragmatists, and/or otherwise skilled tricksters (e.g Brooklyn T. Guy, Sonic T. Junior and Fairly) are not necessarily masterminds unless they meet the aforementioned criteria and are proved to be successful in most of their plans. (e.g Spy, Meggy Spletzer, Joebotnik McCricket, Ethyl Countrisyde, Erzengel, and Emperor Alexander)
