Charles "Charlie" Matheson Jr. is the main protagonist of the YouTube series by JUNTEX, Slender in Real Life, based on the video games, Slender: The Eight Pages and Slender: The Arrival.
He is a clumsy hiker in the woods who likes to film his nature walks, he finds mysterious notes in the wood and at first he thinks he is playing a game, the Slender Man stalks him, he later meets with Clem Puckett (who is actually his future self and is the reason why all of this happening), Carl, and Lauren, they, except for Clem, work together in stopping the Slender Man, however, Charlie later ends up being mind controlled by the real villain, Clem Puckett, and would be used to kill all of the other characters.
He is portrayed by Alex Ieronimo.
Biography[]
He first appears walking in the woods and finds Slender Man's notes; Slender Man ends up getting him; he wakes up in a house, thinking he was dreaming. However, he sees the same notes. He finds different papers which CP left, he then tries to go find CP, he goes in the woods, he then gets caught by Slender Man again after collecting his notes, but then he wakes up near a building, he goes in, Kate also stalks him, he then finds Kate. He asks her for directions, Kate then attacks him, but then Charlie uses the flashlight, causing her to run, he then finds a man sleeping, he then wakes him up by throwing wood at him, he then tells him he is looking for CP, the man says he doesn't know CP, he is Clem Puckett, Charlie then realizes he is CP, Slender Man then gets Charlie and Clem.
Charlie and Clem continue along the journey together, eventually with Carl also joining them. The three of them continue evading Slender Man, but it is later revealed that Clem is actually evil and has, throughout the series, been slowly manipulating Charlie gaining more and more control over him in the process. Clem eventually gains full control over Charlie and kills Lauren and nearly has him kill Carl, who was getting close to uncovering Clem's plans. Charlie is able to resist his control though and instead of shooting Carl, shoots Clem, putting an end to him, after Carl realized what he needed to do, he commits suicide by shooting himself in the head, for Charlie to keep living and break the cycle. The ending shows Charlie as the new Clem.
