Christopher Peterson is the overarching protagonist of the Five Nights at Wario’s series.
He is a scientist who discovered the supernatural curse that had been placed on Wario, Waluigi, Mario, Luigi, and Peach, prompting him to travel through time in order to find the cause. After ending up in the future, he discovered the world's destruction by EMMA, and began doing research on how to defeat her, eventually managing to do so with the help of James.
He is voiced by the series creator Triple Wario.

Background[]
Christopher was originally a scientist who was studying temporal anomalies, eventually managing to craft a time machine using his brilliant intellect. However, he found that there was a great evil associated with the time machine, and that it was not worth using. He later discovered that the area near where he conducted his experiments was cursed, as he saw the dead walking around in the street near Wario's Fast Food Factory. He observed the reanimated body of Wario, and decided that he had to finish his experiment with the time machine so that he could uncover what was causing these supernatural occurances. He gave his wife the instructions on how to send him through time, which led to her sending him several hundred years into the future, where he found himself in 2745. Christopher found that there were no humans left on Earth, having been killed by a supernatural virus known as EMMA, the very one that had caused the dead to come back to life during the present day. His wife attempted to send the souls of Wario and his friends back in time using Christopher's device, and while this did prevent them from dying in the new timeline, it led to an infinite loop in which the souls of those sent back continued to possess the corpses of their alternate selves. Essentially, whenever Wario and his friends were murdered, their bodies would immediately be possessed by the cursed souls that were stuck in the time loop, meaning nothing ever really changed. Christopher, still in the future, observed this time loop, and resolved to find a way to fix it from the future. Christopher desired to bring others to the future with him, but found it difficult without the device that his wife had used on him. He eventually found that at one point in the past, EMMA had attempted to take a man named James to an alternate dimension, which gave Christopher the opportunity to intercept the jump and instead bring James to the future.
Five Nights at Wario's 2[]
It is revealed in this game that in the alternate timelines created by the loop, Christopher still continued to try and discover what was causing the supernatural occurrences, but he did not create the time machine in these timelines. Instead, Christopher began doing research at Wario Ware Incorporated, a video game company that Wario owned in this timeline. Christopher did begin to make discoveries, but was interrupted by the Mario Entity, a supernatural being that operated separately from EMMA and presided in the Wario Ware building. It took him away to an unknown place, possibly killing him, meaning only the original version of Christopher in the future still existed.
Five Nights at Wario's 4[]
After being taken to the future by Christopher, James finds his research and decides to create video games based on the supernatural occurances that have taken place, and sends them back in time with secret coded messages in order to warn everyone without EMMA knowing. EMMA eventually comes to kill James in the future, but he defeats her using an electrical device in Christopher's lab. After vanquishing EMMA, Christopher arrives at the lab to congratulate him, explaining that he can return to the present day and be safe now. James questions what will happen to him in the new timeline as with EMMA gone he will have never had any reason to come to the future, and therefore the current version of him will stop existing. Christopher explains that James should not fear what comes next, as the universe will still have a place for him, and the two part ways.
Five Shows at Wario's[]
Entity 01, the creator of EMMA, eventually attempts to take over the world directly, but is stopped by Wario using electricity, just as James defeated EMMA. It is unknown what happened to Christopher and his wife in the now fixed timeline, but it is likely that they simply went on with their lives without ever becoming wrapped up in time travel as there was no longer any supernatural occurrences.
