William Afton, better known as Dave Miller is the main antagonist/deuteragonist of the Dayshift at Freddy's trilogy.
He acts as the main antagonist/deuteragonist of Dayshift at Freddy's 1 and 2, and in Dayshift at Freddy's 3, his Feral counterpart is the secondary antagonist while his flipside version is the deuteragonist.
History[]
Early Life[]
Dave was born in an unknown year, and from a young age he was an orphan, cast out from the orphanage he was in due to no one wanting him due to how he looked. Dave tried his best to survive the streets of New York in the 50's, alone, until he came across a circus owned by Dr. Henry Miller. Amazed, Dave helped Henry open the first Fredbears, somewhere around the 70's or 80's. For years, Henry and William were a murdering duo, killing kids so their competitors wouldn't overshadow them, until Henry's death around 1983 from unknown means, presumably a springlock failure or animatronic. Afterwards, Fredbears is taken over by Fazbender entertainment, even taking the Fredbear character. William was enraged by this, and sought revenge by shutting down each and every Fazbender location from the inside. He took the name "Dave Miller", from Henry's deceased son's name to not be recognized from Fredbears.
Dayshift at Freddy's 1[]
Dave first appears in the off-camera safe room, alone. He asks Jack what he thinks of the company. Regardless of what Jack says, he'll then offer him the choice to join him in the killing of 5 kids, or not. The multiple endings come in here.

Trivia[]
- Despite being a child murdering psychopath, Dave does (figuratively) have a heart, as he does get scared of Old Sport in "An Ending".
- When playing the Deliver Cake to the Children mini-game, there is a chance of Dave appearing and saying "I'm going to tickle the yellow bear scrotum", killing Old Sport.
- The name Dave Miller directly comes from the Five Nights at Freddy's novels, where, much like in Dayshift at Freddy's, is used as the fake name of William Afton so that he could get a job at Fazbear's.
- Dave self-identifies himself as Aubergine man. Aubergine is another word for purple and is often described to be the color for an eggplant.
- Jack Kennedy calls Dave an eggplant at one point, further hinting the aubergine reference.
- There are a few things to note about Dave from DirectDoggo's Tumblr, such as;
- He is pansexual.
- His favorite movie is The Great Gatsby.
- His favorite food is pizza.
- He replaced himself on the robots' criminal database with Elvis Presley.
- He's apparently in his twenties.
- He can play the trombone.
- He is around 6'4", and 6'6" with his neck stretched.
- His favorite movie is One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
- He doesn't know when his birthday is, but considers Halloween as his birthday.
