Elliot Baldwin Woodman is a major supporting protagonist in Date A Re;Live. He is the founder and leader of Ratatoskr, an organization which aims to save the world's greatest enemy of mankind. He is a former member of the Deus.Ex.Machina Industries and also a former friend of the evil Sir Isaac Ray Peram Westcott. Elliot was a friend of Isaac Westcott and was a member of the D.E.M Industries 30 years ago, however, after the First Spirit appeared on Earth and killed over 150 million people, including the complete destruction of the country of Eurasia, Elliot Woodman left Isaac Westcott's side and formed Ratatoskr to prevent his insane goals.
He is voiced by Jōji Nakata in the Japanese version of the anime and the late Ed Blaylock in the English version. In the English versions of Date A Live III and IV, he is voiced by John Swasey.
Appearance[]
Elliot is a man who seems to be the age of 50. He has pale skin and blue eyes. His hair and beard are white. He wears glasses, possibly due to the fact his eyes started to go bad, as shown in a conversation with Westcott. He is always seen in a wheelchair while being assisted by Karen.
Personality[]
Overall, Elliot is a kindhearted man. He wishes to save the world from the Spacequakes without having to kill the Spirits that caused them and therefore created Ratatoskr. He was also against using Shido (before know him is Half Spirit) and his power to seal the Spirits' Reiryoku into his body to accomplish this goal at first, believing nothing good would come from storing all that power in a single person. Elliot deeply cares about others, becoming happy when Tohka tells him that she is happy to live as a normal person and refusing to kill Shido when he goes out of control while he can still be saved. His kindness even extends into selflessness.
Elliot has also shown himself to be a very perceptive and skillful tactician. He made an offer to the other leaders of Ratatoskr of handing over the shares of Asgard Electronics in order to buy more time as they pondered over the rationale behind such a tempting offer. He was also able to instantly conclude that Almsted created a device to hack into <Dáinsleif> and passed it onto Clayton to keep his own hands clean.
While he is kind towards his allies, Elliot has shown that he is not a complete pushover. He promised the other Ratatoskr leaders that they would be punished when they did not honor their deal.

Background[]
Woodman grew up in a village of Magus along with Westcott, Ellen, and Karen, but their hometown was burned down by humans who feared their power. With their families also dying from the ensuing massacre, the four survivors made a vow that day to seek revenge against humanity for this unforgivable act. After the wealthy couple that had adopted Westcott died, Woodman was supported by Westcott by using his inheritance as they studied occult and magic for the next ten years.
30 years ago, Elliot worked in D.E.M Industries and was close to Isaac Westcott. Elliot was so close to Isaac he referred to Isaac Westcott as Ike, however, after the First Spirit appeared on Earth and killed over 150 million people, Elliot Woodman left Isaac Westcott's side and formed Ratatoskr to prevent the his insane goals.
30 years later, Elliot Woodman and Westcott Isaac finally meet again. Now the two were archenemies, Isaac Westcott plunged the whole world in war and genocide, killing thousands of innocent people while Elliot Woodman fought to keep peace in the world. Isaac Westcott and Elliot Woodman talked again after 30 long years after Elliot had left the side of Isaac.
