Webby Vanderquack is supporting character in the Character What franchise. She also serves as the deuteragonist in Character What: New Hope, becoming Shadow Joe's new friend after Twilight Sparkle and Dawn temporarily went their separate ways.
Character What: Hero Force[]
Webby first appears in New Friend, when she asks Scrooge and Mrs. Beakley if she can go to see Daisy Duck, which they agrees as long as she promised to return before nighttime. Webby begun to makes her way to Daisy's house as she rides on her tricycle, but soon met up with Dawn and Twilight Sparkle. Both Dawn and Twilight ask Webby where she is going, she explains that she is going to see Daisy Duck at her house. Webby also noticed that Shadow Joe wasn't with Dawn and Twilight, she ask them why Shadow Joe is not with them. Not wanting anything with Shadow Joe since they are still mad with him for breaking his promise to be at the Pokemon Contest to support Dawn during the finals, they decide to leave without explaining the circumstances, much to Webby's confusion. As she continue to make her way to Daisy's, the Toiletnator wraps Webby up in toilet paper, believing she is the one who forgot to flush, despite her objections. Just as Toiletnator was about to punish Webby, Shadow Joe arrives and defeated Toilernator and thus saving Webby. Later, Webby started to walking and come across an unsuspecting Discord, who sitting up in a tree, drinking, and reading a magazine. When Webby stands next to the tree. Discord pours his drink on Webby and begin to laugh at her misfortune. Angered, Webby carelessly throws an apple at Discord's head, causing him to lose balance and fall onto the ground. An enrage Discord then chases Webby, who shout out for help which Shadow Joe heard from a distance. Discord manages to catches up Webby and grabbed by the hair bow. Before could do anything to Webby, Shadow Joe suddenly appears and insisted to released Webby, which Discord refuses, prompting Shadow Joe fight Discord and effortlessly defeated the Lord of Chaos. After saving Webby twice, Shadow Joe explains to Webby the reasons what Dawn and Twilight Sparkle are no longer his friends, because of breaking his promise to be Pokemon Contest to support Dawn during the finals, much to Webby's surprise. Shadow Joe also explains it wasn't his fault, since Shadow Aaron was terrorizing Ponyville and needed to stop him from harming ponies, but couldn't make to the Pokemon contest in time. After learning about Shadow Joe's broken friendship with Dawn and Twilight, Webby sympathizes with him for his losses, and lifted Shadow Joe's spirit. Shadow Joe finally accepts Webby as a friend but decided to keep this newfound friendship a secret to Twilight Sparkle and Dawn, as he believes that if they found out the truth, they will mistake him for trying to replace them for ending their relationship with him. Just than, Shadow Joe can sense Shadow Aaron wreaking havoc in Ponyville again and transport himself to Ponyville to stop Shadow Aaron. Upon arriving in Ponyville, Shadow Joe instructs Webby to find somewhere hide since Shadow Aaron is too dangerous and don't to risk putting her in danger. Shadow Joe engages into a fight with Shadow Aaron, but Shadow Aaron managed to overpower and incapacitate him with no effort. Shadow Aaron prepares to finish him off. However, before he could finish Shadow Joe off, Webby angerly yells at Shadow Aaron, demanding him to leave Shadow Joe alone. Frustrated by this, Shadow Aaron shoots lightning at Webby but missed her, Shadow Aaron then ordered Bill Cipher to destroy her. Meanwhile, Shadow Joe manages to overpower Shadow Aaron and gained the upper hand this time. As Bill Cipher searches for Webby, she emerges out of finding and sprays mustard directly into Bill's eye, which enraged Bill to point of wanting to kill Webby for injuring his eye. However, Shadow Aaron contacts through Bill's body and orders him to retreat, explaining that Shadow Joe is still not weakened yet form losing Dawn and Twilight Sparkle's trust, so he decided to fight Shadow Joe another day until he is fully weakened. Bill argues that he still wants destroy Webby for injuring his eye, but Shadow Aaron didn't care and orders Bill immediately. Bill promised Webby someday that they will meet again and finish what they started before teleporting back to Shadow Aaron's spaceship. After the villains departed, Shadow Joe runs up to Webby and picks her up to see if she alright, which Webby say "I'm Okay, Are You Okay Too", Shadow Joe ensures Webby that he is completely alright. Shadow Joe still heartbroken and devastated at his friendship with Dawn and Twilight Sparkle, he accepts Webby as his new friend and hope someday that Dawn and Twilight will forgives him for breaking the trust.
In the next episode, Webby prepares breakfast for Shadow Joe in bed, she explains to him that she had been taking lessons from grandmother, Bentina Beakly, how to make breakfast.
In Lizard Under Bed, Shadow Aaron is informed by Bill Cipher that Shadow Joe has form a new friendship with Webby Vanderquack, he decided to send out some Ninja Khan to destroy Webby to ensure that she will not interfere with his plans to ruin Shadow Joe's life. Just then, Shadow Joe was walking through the city with Webby, the Ninja Khan suddenly emerges from the shadows. Shadow Joe believes that the Ninja Khan were after him, he orders Webby to run away in while he runs in the opposite direction for the Ninja Khan to follow him.
However, much to his surprise, the Ninja Khan were going into the same direction as Webby. As Webby tries to escape from the Ninja Khan, she found herself in a dead end. Cornered, Webby became frightened as the Ninja Khan prepare to attack her, but Shadow Joe teleports in front of her to protect her from the Ninja Khan. Webby watches as Shadow Joe fights off the Ninja Khan before they retreated after realizing that them are beaten. Frustrated, Shadow Aaron decide to send out Randall Boggs to dispose of Webby. However, Randall failed miserably, due the interference of Ben Tennyson.
In Send Out Aggregor, following Randall Bogg's failure, Shadow Aaron decide to send out Aggregor to destroy Webby, he also grant Aggregor to ability to transform into 'Ultimate Aggregor' and vise versa to make him more stronger to defeat Shadow Joe if he interferes. However, with the help of Ben Tennyson, Shadow Joe manages to defeat Aggregor and strip away his mutation.
In Lost Hope, Shadow Joe takes Webby to the beach where he goes into snack shack to get some lunch for them. As Webby was outside waiting for Shadow Joe, Dawn and Twilight Sparkle met up with Webby and questions her why she is alone. However, Shadow Joe suddenly came out of the snack shack with some food, but was shocked to see his two former friends with Webby. Not wanting Dawn and Twilight to see him with Webby, Shadow Joe grabs Webby and used his super speed to quickly make his leave. Shadow Joe explains to Webby that if Dawn and Twilight to see her with him, they will believe that he is replacing them for abandoning him. Much later, Shadow Aaron and Bill Cipher attacks Shadow Joey, Webby watches helplessly as Shadow Joe fights the villains to protect her. However, Shadow Aaron and Bill Cipher teleports out of the fight, leaving both Shadow Joe and Webby confuse of the villains apparently given up. Afterward, Shadow Joe embraces Webby, but at that moment, Dawn and Twilight Sparkle arrived and were shocked to see Shadow Joe with a new friend. Dawn and Twilight Sparkle mistook Shadow Joe for abandoning them, Shadow Joe tries to explain that he wasn't trying to replace them, but Dawn and Twilight refuse to believe him and selfishly disowns him, even Dawn goes far as giving Shadow Joe a slap in the face.
Shadow Aaron kidnaps Webby and returns back to the intergalactic spaceship, he proceed to destroy Webby by using the Scream Extractor on her to make sure that she doesn't interfere with his plans again. However, Shadow Joe arrives just in time to disable the the machine and free Webby, however, Shadow Aaron attacks Shadow Joe to kill Webby. Shadow Joe begs Shadow Aaron not to harmed Webby, but Shadow Aaron refuses to let Webby live, claiming that she is a threat to his plans. Just as Shadow Aaron was about to kill Webby, Dawn and Twilight Sparkle manages to catch up, and Twilight use her magic to throw a crate at Shadow Aaron. Dawn and Twilight Sparkle help Shadow Joe to stop Shadow Aaron from harming Webby, and work together to defeat Shadow Aaron, ultimately foiling his plans to destroy Shadow Joe's life. Following Shadow Aaron's defeat, Dawn and Twilight Sparkle apologized to Shadow Joe for not believing his noble intentions and accepting Webby as their new friend.

Webby Vanderquack had a rivalry with Bill Cipher since the events of New Friend, due to Bill's vengeance against her for spraying mustard into his eye. When Shadow Aaron ordered Bill Cipher to destroy Webby for her interference, Webby sprays mustard into Bill's eye in defense, enraging Bill Cipher to the point of wanting to destroy her out of pure vengeance. However, when Shadow Aaron ordered Bill Cipher to retreat, due to Shadow Joe gaining the upper hand and Shadow Aaron didn't wish to be defeated him. Bill Cipher reluctantly agree before promising to seek vengeance on Webby someday.
In Never Be Friends with Bill, Bill Cipher tricked Webby Vanderquick into his friend by sparing quality time together in his pyramid. Webby considered Bill to be a friend, due the spending the whole event with activities and gave her almost everything she ever wanted. However, Bill betrays Webby and reveals that he was only pretending to be her friend in order to take revenge on her from the last encounter, leaving Webby was shocked and horrified to learn that Bill never was her friend and that he only care about himself. Shortly after Shadow Joe with the help of Ben Tennyson saved Webby from Bill, Webby felt deeply heartbroken by Bill's betrayal and now realizing how foolish she was to believe that Bill wanted to be her friend, resulting a strain on their relationship ever further.
