Mayuri Seraphina is a supporting protagonist from Date A Re:Live.

Appearance[]

Mayuri is a mostly slender girl with long blonde hair and pink eyes with white pupils.

Biography[]

Backstory[]

In the past when she was previously a mindless artificial lifeform called Material B before she was released by Rio (a.k.a. Phantom) and developed a human consciousness, she was given the named Mayuri Seraphina by Phantom and created an artificial Sephira Crystal as she empowered Tohka with the last one which resulted in Mayuri taking on a more humanoid shape.

Later, Mayuri and Rio wend to the building the latter resided at in Tengu city where she shares her bed with her new friend. As they sleep, Mayuri realized the younger spirit was lonely.

Landing in an enclosed space, Mayuri used her spirit power to Phantom fix a wound that was inflicted on her. She asked Phantom to make sure she was not lying, something she denied.

Phantom explained that Kurumi's claim of killing Saya was false as it was due to it stemming from false memories Westcott implanted in her. What really happened was that Saya was actually killed by Ellen Mathers.

Chapter 20[]

Following Kurumi's inversion once she realized that all the supposed memories she had turned out to be fake ones implanted to make her Wescott's pawn, Mayuri intervenes in the spacequake attempt by cancelling them out with her own.

She also told Westcott that she never appreciates being called Material B by him. She then reveals that it was Phantom who named her.

Chapter 22[]

Mayuri revealing herself was a shock to Shido and Kotori as another spirit they have not seen before as she spreads her wings to show their mechanical nature and tells Westcott that it's time to start "our date".

Mayuri proceeds to deal with the possessed Kurumi while Shido and Kotori step aside to avoid getting killed. Annoyed that Westcott has no regard for people's names as she gets knocked back blocking an attack.

Continuing to block damage, she tells Westcott that she would hold back focus on talking before using her "Charge Gladiator" attack. Freezing Mayuri in her tracks, only for it to turn out to be a clone formed by electricity while she strikes him with electricity.

She proceeds to tell Westcott that her powers are electrical and not just lightning-based. Mayuri proceeds to counter with "Metal Storm" and "Magnetic Arc" to send the possessed Kurumi flying into the wall of the roof's entrance.

Mayuri was about to make another attack before her powers run out like a battery much to her shock as her crystal was a synthetic one and not an actual one. Just as Westcott was about to off her, Mana Takamiya intervened and shields Mayuri.

As Westcott was going to off the helpless group, Phantom used a barrier to block the attack, but was sent flying into the wall the roof entrance, her mosaic fading to reveal that she was Rio. Isaac could only laugh at the sight of a child having interfered with his plans up to this point and refers to her mother as a "horrible woman" who gave her daughter the tasks.

This only served to horrify Mayuri as she viewed Rio's unconscious body. Shido angrily calls out Westcott on his apathy towards a child being injured. As Isaac tried to drain Shido of his Spirit power, Shido reawakened with pinkish-red eyes and stopped the pain the other Spirits felt when his power was being drained.

Ripping Hyakuman apart, Shido shows himself with pink Spirit mana and formed the First Spirit's Angel Uriel, a sword, in one of his hands as he leveled into the air that formed a color-changing pillar as his hair became pink and longer.

The seemingly nameless voice that was once called Mio, reveals herself as Rinne Sonogami; who is the mother of Shido, Mana, and Rio; as she intends to end Isaac's nightmare world. After Shido frees Kurumi and seals her, Isaac reveals another threat, the gigantic robot called "The Deus".

Chapter 23[]

While Shido heads off to deal with the Deus, Mayuri takes Rio inside so she can draw some electricity and recover her power while remarking on how much good people Rio knew and was shocked to hear that Shido and Mana were her siblings.
