SuperMemeGuardian4 (better known as SuperMarioGlitchy4 or SMG4) is the titular character and one of the two main protagonists (alongside Mario) of the Australian adult-animated comedy web series SMG4, and one of the deuteragonists of it's 2021 spin-off SMG4 Crew.
He is a partly amnesiac meme guardian (more predominantly a Super Mario 64 machinamist), as well as Mario's closest ally and handler (also his main on-and-of rival in the War of the Fat Italians series), the de facto leader of his gang, and the former archenemy-turned-frenemy of SMG3. He also uses material from Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and other viral media. SMG4 devotes a lot of his time to making these videos, usually uploading a new video every weekend, and sometimes accepts works such as fanart from his channel's viewers and subscribers. In his videos, he often uses quotes, music, and stuff from other famous YouTubers like PewDiePie and Smosh as well as from movies, video games, memes, or TV shows. He is the oldest original character in the series.
He is voiced by the show’s creator Luke Lerdwichagul, who also voices Shroomy and JubJub Boopkins in the same series.

Personality[]
Unlike Mario, SMG4 is the sane, sophisticated, and level-headed of the group and has to bear the burdens of other people's stupidity, especially as he often lacks patience with Mario's antics, getting annoyed when Mario acts like an idiot when he or someone else needs his help the most, especially when his stupidity makes the problems worse than they are; however the two remain good friends regardless. Even with his intelligence, he has occasional idiotic moments himself as he was scammed by Wario and Waluigi at one point. SMG4 does get caught up in all kinds of adventures with his friends and tries very hard to strategize and keep the peace, even if it doesn't always work out, especially with his friends', and at times his own flaws getting in the way.
SMG4 seems to be very anti-social, as he prefers doing his own thing, like creating memes and funny videos over spending time with his friends. He is very protective of his work and doesn't take kindly to anyone tampering, ruining, or even touching it, which will set him off.
Nonetheless, SMG4 really cares for his friends and will put his work aside for the greater good and join them on their crazy adventures whether for fun or stopping various villains from bringing their plans to fruition. He also disapproves of Mario abusing his younger brother Luigi, although he doesn't interact with him very often. While he tends to be cold towards Luigi, he shows sympathy for him being the butt of several misfortunes other than being forgotten and beaten up.
Physical Appearance[]
SMG4 has an appearance very similar to Mario, with white gloves, brown shoes, a black moustache, brown hair, blue eyes, and a round nose. The main difference is that he wears a blue hat with a blue "S" on it (in earlier seasons, it was a red "M"), a blue shirt, and white overalls with yellow buttons. after the Lawsuit Arc, SMG4's facial appearance along with his evil counterpart, no longer has a mustache, but it changes to look like Stanley the Bugman from the Nintendo game Green House as part of Mr Game-and Watch. where he looks strikingly like the character, including having a smaller more realistic-like nose except he has more dark hair coming down from his cap, which the emblem on his hat is more glitched-like as it used to be a blue "S" as the letter becomes more square with light pink and blue behind from right-to-left and a pentagon in shape along with his yellow buttons, like Stanley, and SMG3, SMG4 has more detailed and identically realistic hands with detailed human-like pentages, as in earlier seasons where he has full five hands same as Mario.

Trivia[]
- Unlike Mario and Toad, SMG4 hates spaghetti. Rather, he prefers rice and chicken.
- SMG4 is solely responsible for corrupting much of the world as seen in his videos, due to him having no control over his memetic abilities, which lead to him training his abilities with SMG3 by SMG1 and 2.
- SMG4's signature pose is the "Facepalm" which points to his frustrations with the stupidity of his friends.
- His arch-enemy is SMG3, which is similar to Bowser being Mario's arch-enemy.
