Gem Stone is one of the two tritagonists of the POPGOES 2016 continuity (alongside Buttons), serving as the overarching protagonist of POPGOES.
He is one of Strings' hallucination which takes the form of a glass version of Stone the Crow. It serves as a representation of Fritz Glade's attempts at transparency and honesty by the Curiosity module. As opposed to Stone, Gem Stone's sign always states the truth.
During the game, Strings can see Gem Stone through the camera at times, warning it of Simon's plans. After the Grave Ending, in which Simon successfully rebuilds Blackrabbit and uses her to kill Fritz, Gem Stone transforms into Grave Stone.
Appearance[]
Gem Stone is a crow animatronic resembling Stone the Crow, made entirely out of clear glass. The sign he holds is also identical to Stone's, but is coloured white instead of red.
As Grave Stone, he is now completely made out of stone, with hollowed-out eyes, cracks over his body, and is missing both of his feet. Furthermore, he now has stone wings and sharp claws. His sign is now a stone plaque, with an epitaph for Jeremy Fitzgerald (the true identity of Fritz Glade).

- Gem Stone and Grave Stone being the same entity is a refence to the phrase "Killing two birds with one stone."
- Grave Stone would've been the main antagonist of POPGOES: Silent Night, the cancelled DLC expansion to POPGOES 2015, in which he was meant to be Fritz Glade's spirit and attempted to kill Mike Schmidt Jr (the son of Mike Schmidt and the POPGOES 2015 version of Strings).
