Hibiki Otonokoji is a major character in Super Danganronpa Another 2, she is known as the Ultimate Vocalist and the older sister of Otonokoji Twins.
Biography[]
Hibiki most of her childhood was living in Kanade's shadows due to her sister being better at everything. Everytime it happens causes Hibiki to hate failures, eventually she was given a puppy named Shiro. Hibiki herself decided to move on from trying to be better than Kanade and spent her time with Shiro. However, Shiro mysteriously disappeared, causing Hibiki to break down in front of her sister. After a while, she met a new friend Ayumi during her middle school days, but her friend got into accident from failing off the stairs, which caused her to be permanently disabled. During High school years, Hibiki and Kanade created a band known as Melody Rhythm which gained them a bit of good publicity. However, most of the band's members disappeared as well. Suspiciously, every time Hibiki gets a friend, they end up vanishing without a trace, causing Hibiki to cry about it on Kanade's shoulder.
Eventually, they find themselves on mysterious island where they met Sora and other students as well, introducing themselves and meeting new friends and has even discovered Monocruise. Before they get into anything, Setsuka suggest everyone to go for a swim, which some of student's agree to but everyone went on with this idea. Hibiki the whole time was seen next to Kanade. After some time, they all fall unconscious and get awaken with their talent uniforms instead of their swimsuits. Monocrow appears and tells them that he's the reason why are all they here and explains how killing game works, traumatizing everyone. They even met Mikado, the mastermind for this killing game, who seemingly killed Rei Mekaru, burning her.
Chapter 1[]
After what has happened, they were forced to live in Monocruise who goes after another island upon the case gets solved. In order to fix things, Setsuka decided to light the mood and organize party. Unknowingly to her, most students got drunk, even Kanade, who was seen arguing with Hibiki for their personal problems.
Right after the party ends, everyone goes back to their room, only in the morning for Sora to find Yuri dying who weirdly asks who killed him, where he mentions both of the twins, after his goodbye, he gets dragged and falls from the tower to his death. Right after the warn for dead body and upcoming class trail, Hibiki also discovers Yuri's body and was put for shock.
After a while, everyone entered elevator for Class trail room waiting, Hibiki along with others took her place and begun argument to find the culprit. Sora, with assistance of Kokoro and Kanade, finds out Hajime as the culprit and discovers the group who works for Mikado, Hajime tells them before his execution that there were three remaining voids let.
After Hibiki witness Hajime getting cruelly and brutally killed, she becomes paranoid and does not want to trust anyone except Kanade, whom she leaves class trail room with,
Chapter 2[]
Not much after Teruya was found out by Sora and Monocrow, Setsuka would contact the current participants to meet her at the shrine area. Hibiki out of fear does not want to go but Kanade forced her in. Hbiki then shows her lack of trust throught out the tough act which makes Setsuka realize Hibiki still trusted them and goes on to pet her.
Hibiki then goes out to perform concert with Kanade after a bit of Setsuka's help with her paranoia, however Kokoro seems to be diagnosed with illness and requares to have more than one student to bring her meals and check on her. Emma feels no need to eat after she learns what terrible situation her friend is in. Then Hibiki says how they should try their best to find the cure and help Kokoro.
Soon after Kokoro stops responding, Sora and some student went to check on her but still nothing. Setsuka then calls Monocrow to break throught out the door, where they discovered frozen Kokoro in her underwear laying dead on the bed with no hands and feet. Repeating the same process, they learn it was Emma responsible for Kokoro's death. Most students, including Hibiki, did not believe it at first, but soon after more mysterious where solved, Hibiki started to believe it was Emma, allowing the remaining students to defeat Emma. After class trail ends, Emma explains that she was another void and the time she attacked Kokoro was during the twins' perfomance as Kokoro triggered Emma's sanity. After Emma was executed, Hibiki blamed herself for this case, even if not responsible.
Chapter 3[]
Right after arriving at Satsuki land, Hibiki and Kanade went on playing the games, where Hibiki prizes Kanade and her talents, including her throwing skills, to which Kanade seems disappointed about Hibiki telling Sora that. During the whole third island, Kanade was dragging Hibiki everywhere, which was the reason they were late. Monocrow then gives them motivation video which has the twins' parents shown in danger. Causing Hibiki to be traumized, where Setsuka gives her into a hug and Hibiki decided that she wanted to be next to Setsuka instead of Kanade, which Kanade eems angered about. Later Hibiki's mental state get worse during the morning and goes off to her room after the breakfast.
Later, Hibiki left the room after body warning, she was Setsuka in 9 pieces, barely able to accept someone also left her. Hibiki, with remaining students begun third class trail, they discovered it was Kanade who killed Setsuka and brainwashed Hibiki into helping her and leaving hibiki with no memory of it. After Hibiki cries out, screams at Monocrow to let her home, Kanade, gives up as she enjoys her sister suffering.
After Class Trial ends, with the twins found guilty, Kanade reveals she's responsible for all people important to Hibiki vanishing and even getting reminded she also killed their parents with Hibiki to break out even more and goes to complete sadness after she learns she'll be executed for something she didn't intend to happen. The Monocrow then tells them he will use one execution for both.
During execution, Monocrow has both twins chained on the platform in the shape or ring, telling them whoever gets the key first, her sins will be forgiven. Then Hibiki starts fighting for her life, and even hits Kanade with microphone, right after Hibiki gets the key, her head gets dissipated from her body, making Kanade learn that this was Monocrow's another trick, before Kanade gets painfully hung to death.
