Hiroto Tonomachi is a supporting protagonist in Date A Re:Live. Shido's classmate, a field agent for Ratatoskr, and an pro Dating Sim player. He has a 2D girlfriend who looks a lot like Kotori, and he often uses his Dating Sim gaming to aid Maria's systems to constantly update the response system for Shido's headset if he's ever unsure of how to reply to a Spirit.
Appearance[]
Hiroto is a teenager with swept-back, spiky black hair and dark gray eyes. He is usually only seen wearing the Raizen High School uniform, but in Rinne Utopia's preview, he is seen wearing a red T-shirt with a white shirt. The collar of his school uniform is often left unfastened. He is 175 cm tall.
Personality[]
Tonomachi is a rather straight-forward boy who is not shy to express his emotions to the opposite sex, a stark contrast to Shido Itsuka. He seems to be able to keep his cool under any situation, such as a Spacequake. However, this often changes when he is interrupted while playing his dating sim. Nevertheless, like the other male students in his classroom, Tonomachi is shown to have a vindictively jealous side that comes to the forefront during the topic of not receiving Valentine's day chocolate.
He is describes as a person who is good with words and the best in going along with the flow. According to Shido, Tonomachi has a love for nurses.

- The name Hiroto contains the kanji for "wide" (宏, hiro) and "person" (人, to').
- Hiroto's surname Tonomachi means "lord" (殿, tono) and "town" (町, machi).
- Tonomachi plays a gal game which is known as 'Fall in Love: My Little Seed' on his mobile phone and has a girlfriend with a striking resemblance to Kotori, with the only difference that both her hair and eyes are pink in color.
- The game is part of Fraxinus' servers as Hiroto gave a name suggestion for when Shido was giving a name to Tohka.
- He was the one that gave the name "Tome" out of the potential names, although Tohka found it insulting.
- Tonomachi is ranked 358th-last place-on Raizen's Most Desired Boyfriends, though the list was made by him and intentionally cut off the rankings below him. He and Shido were also ranked the best couple by fujoshis.
- According to the first episode in the Anime series, there is a rumor about Tonomachi that he "swings both ways."
- This is is proven to be false as when Natsumi was disguised as Shido and made a move on him, he was noticeably very disturbed by it.
- His voice actor, Anri Katsu, also voiced one of the Arbitel Pilots.
