The Investigator is one of the Good roles in the Social Deduction Roblox game Flicker. They are the leader of the Good Team in classic mode and a anonymous detective who must use their ability to accuse and eliminate the Murderer.
Summary[]
As their introduction says, they are the Leader of the Good Team and their ability is able to greatly affect the player's decisions. The Investigator is able to anonymously accuse someone of being the Murderer, which can be useful since they can easily accuse possible suspects without exposing their own identity and being targeted by the actual Murderer, incase the accused is innocent.
However, unlike the Detective, the Investigator doesn't get any clues about who could be Evil or Good, so they also need to rely on other players in order to find potential suspects.
Since the Investigator is pretty much the leader, it is common behavior that most players will vote to execute whoever was accused by the Investigator.
Mechanics[]
- A Investigator is guaranteed to appear in every Classic Mode match.
- Every night, the Investigator is able to accuse a player by selecting them. In the next day, the game will announce that the Investigator has accused [player name]. The game will not say who the Investigator is, only the accused.
- The Investigator has double votes if they vote to execute the same person they accused at night.
- This role exists in Classic Mode only.
Trivia[]
- The Investigator is the only active role in the game that is not availible in Regular Mode, as it got replaced by the Detective.
- The Investigator is one of the most hated roles in the game (alongside Survivor and Twins). This is because, unlike several other roles, the Investigator is unable to find out who the Murderer is, thus making their accusation ability useless most of the time. Another reason the role is hated is because most players who play as Investigator accuse randomly, thus resulting in the execution of innocents.
