Kaede Akamatsu (赤松 楓, Akamatsu Kaede) is the deuteragonist of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Initially presented as the main protagonist until she is executed at the end of the Chapter 1, which Shuichi took her role as the protagonist. She is the Ultimate Pianist (超高校級の「ピアニスト」lit. Super High School Level Pianist).
She is voiced by the late Sayaka Kanda in the Japanese version of the game, and by Erika Harlacher in the English version of the game.
Personality[]
Kaede is an optimistic hard worker. She has a strong will and doesn't hesitate to take action, her notable character trait being her strong sense of belief in herself and others. She has a kind personality that makes her think about others before herself.
Appearance[]
She is a young woman with above average stature, blonde hair with an ahoge, and purple eyes. She is seen wearing a school uniform consisting of white blouse secured with an orange tie tucked in a pale magenta vest. She has her former school insignia adorned on her right-breast. Underneath, she wears a dark magenta skirt with black music note pattern, lavender knee socks with pink insignia at the top sides, and brown loafers. Her accessories consist of a white music note hairpins on her bangs and seen carrying a white flap backpack.
Posthumously during the aftermath of DR4K, her real appearance still remains the same yet different from how she looks. She now shares her soul with Makoto Shibuya's body; this includes a more androgynous figure, robotic parts at the back, as well as scars around Makoto's body and face.

Kaede seems to strongly believe in Shuichi as close friends since the start of the game.
