~ Light believing in the power of Hope. |
Light Sky, birth number: LS-2147 or a.k.a. The Ultimate Hope, is the main protagonist (alongside Dark Night) of the fanmade horror-comedy story The Danganronpa, which is both a sequel and reboot to the Danganronpa trilogy. He is the boyfriend of Kara Detroit, the youngest half-brother of Dark Night, Dawn, Violet, and Grey, and the genetic clone son of Makoto Naegi and Aoi Asahina.
In autobiography or motion comic, he would be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who also voices Dark Night, Victor Barkus, and Mono-Junior.
Backstory[]
In an alternate timeline to Danganronpa, the killing games are now virtual and the participants that got murdered or executed are now alive while Junko, Mukuro, and the other villains are not even evil at all. However, Makoto and 3 girls got their blood samples stolen without their knowledge or consent.
In a lab, a group of scientists used the blood to make 3 clones of Naegi, including the one who was named LS-2147. Out of fear of being rejected, he was set up for adoption to a human family.
At his foster house, his adoptive parents loved him and raised him for 4 years but things changed when a power craving rich guy named Roman Kisaragi trespassed on their property. He demanded LS and bribed the couple but they refused to give up their adoptive child and angrily ordered the man to leave. Of course, Roman murdered the couple and kidnapped LS while burning the place down to cover his tracks.
At Kisaragi Foundation, LS and his eldest half-siblings were abused and illegally experimented on by Roman, who showed his true evil nature to them. Two other boys named Victor Barkus and Carter Holton took part in it. LS only had his half-brother DN to comfort him through the abuse. Even worst, the kind-hearted caretaker was murdered by Roman right in front of them to make him and the others suffer. Eventually, him and his 2 half-siblings started hating Roman and his two lackeys with a desire to make them pay but LS wants to expose the guy as a monster and have him arrested for a lot of crimes. However, they eventually escaped.
After escaping, they find a train and hop on top of it but notice Roman and his two lackeys chasing them. However, the Future Foundation arrive and have also came as well. During the chase, Light slips and holds on for dear life. Dark tries to save him but Dawn remorsefully betrays him by unhooking the train carts, leaving Light to be captured by the foundation. His memories are then erased of what happened but Makoto Naegi and Aoi Asahina adopt him and name him Light Sky.
More coming soon.
Personality[]
Light Sky is a pure-hearted, innocent, heroic, adorable, nice, kind, brave, trustworthy, caring, and likable young man who cares for his fellow classmates and family. He loves his older half-brother Dark Night and sees good in him but hates Roman Kisaragi, Victor Barkus, and Carter Holton for being purely evil monsters. He is also sometimes dense because he's unaware that 4 girls like him but he's later shown to be well aware of it. He's just afraid that picking one of them will cause the other girls to get jealous and kill both of them. Despite not liking perverts, he's shown to sometimes be one and does smile when the boys force him to see the girls' bathing area but doesn't brag about the bathing house incident because he knows better than to do that and he shows shame for participating in it.

Light is a 14-year-old Caucasian male with brown hair that has a ahoge on it and wears a cyan blue t-shirt that says "Hope" and a symbol of the Rebel Alliance, blue jogger pants, a blue screened white watch on his left wrist, and white Nike shoes.

In return, Rigby likes the kid for his kindness and considers him one of the favorite students. He defends him from Victor Barkus and admits to hating that bully too. He's also grateful for the dates with Fuwa.
- Fuwa Kyouka: Despite the said teacher's countless drinking and emotionless attitude, he still respects her as a teacher and trusts her. He defends her from bad teachers and helps her not only hide her secret stash but sets her up on a date with Rigby Rolf. In return, she loves the kid like a nephew and is grateful for the date set-ups. She even gives a small smile at the kid's innocence and says they grow up so fast when he gets flirted with by girls. She also gets angry when Victor Barkus bullies Light and wants to go slap that rich punk for it. However, she does get angry at him and the boys for peeping on her and the girls but calmed down when Light doesn't brag about it and she agrees that it was payback for peeping on them. She still punishes him by having him wear waiter outfit that is fit for muscular people.

Ricky tried to kill him but was stopped by Shuichi, who stunned Ricky with a stungun. Light then watched as Ricky was fired and arrested for his crimes.
- Nema Kayama (enemy and attempted r***ist): At first, Light seemed to be getting along with her due to how supportive she seems of him but only to be horrified to find out that she's a pedophile and was trying to seduce him. Fortunately, he was saved by Kyoko and Nema was not only fired but also arrested.
- Snow Bright (enemy and least favorite teacher; deceased): Just like Rigby and Fuwa, he hates her for framing Rigby and being biased towards students. In return, Snow sees him as a dense and dumb little brat who she purposefully tries to fail out of selfish bias towards him for being Rigby's student, much to his classmates' anger and disgust.
- Mr. Gerald (enemy, abuser, and least favorite teacher; deceased): Just like both students and staff, he hates Mr. Gerald for being a pompous and prejudice man that not only hates children and talentless people but also hates his wife and is cheating on her with Snow Bright. In return, Mr. Gerald hates Light for his talent and enjoys seeing him suffer. He doesn't hesitate to show his hatred for him, which is still mutual. He's also not afraid to make insults about him and calls him a "little b*****d", much to Makoto's anger. He even slaps Light for standing up to him right in front of the class, much to the class and teachers' shock, horror, and anger. In the sequel, the hatred becomes increased when it's revealed that Mr. Gerald abused Sara Maeda during her entire life and made her into the bad kid she is. Light calls him out for it and now sees him as an "abusive piece of s**t." He cheered when the guy got fired.

He defends her from Victor Barkus' racial comments towards her android status. However, he gets embarrassed when she and the girls peep on him and the boys but then got angry at her for it and understandably punishes her for it via spanking, much to her embarrassment. However, he teasingly asked her if she liked what she saw, making her blush and get nervous. He then starts to return her feelings and becomes her boyfriend. In return, she loves him sincerely and is willing to share him with Emily. Of course, she and the girls get shocked when he peeps on them but just wanted to know why. However, they didn't mind at all and even invite him to shower with them.
- Emily Holland (one-time love-interest): When they first met, he loved her British accent and called it beautiful, making her blush. Just like the other girls, he's oblivious to her feelings but did enjoy peeping on her and the girls in the bath house before showing remorse for it. He has a one-night stand with her and enjoyed it as they also invited a happy Kara into it before asking Emily about a new boy she likes and when hearing that she's liking Pyotr, he sets them up together. When Pyotr was found dead, he comforted her over it. When she was found dead, he cried over her death and blamed himself for not saving her.
- Friends:
- Ryuzaki Lawliot (best-friend): They are best-friends and he was saddened by Ryuzaki's virtual death. He lets Ryuzaki be with Naomi just to make her happy and didn't show jealousy towards it.
- Naomi Penber (former admirer): When they first met, he is the object of her affections but only sees her as a friend. When her and the girls peep on him and the boys in the bathing room, he was understandably embarrassed but also angry as the other boys and joined in punishing them. He was happy that her and Ryuzaki got together but showed shock and horror that she's the one who accidentally killed Ryuzaki but he cries when he exposes her, when she apologizes for it, when she says that she loved him, and when she gets executed. He forgives her for what she did and understood that it was an accident. In return, she loved him and was annoyed that he doesn't notice her affections but is flattered that he is happy for her relationship. She doesn't hate him for exposing her in the class trial and hopes he can forgive her for what she did. She even tearfully apologizes and says she loved him.
- Ray Yagami (second best-friend): They are also best-friends and Light even helps him with prefect stuff. He obeys the guy and doesn't get in trouble around him while Ray is proud of his best-friend for being a good student and admits that the rules are only bent in case of an emergency. However, he got angry when Light reluctantly outed Naomi as the culprit and punched him for it but regretted it in the next chapter and apologized for it because he now knows that Light was only helping everyone survive the class trial. He made up for the assault by deciding to help Light with winning the killing game. He did encourage Light to peep on the girls but after they got caught, he took responsibility and apologized for getting his friend into trouble. He defended Light when he is unfairly mistreated for having a one night time with Emily and also saw that the angry witness is a stalker. At the ballroom, he gave Light permission to dance with Ayame while he dances with Kara. Him and Ayame smiled fondly when they saw him and Kara slow dance.
- Ayame Hiroko (close friend): They get along and she helps him with advice for romance. She's also known to help him with cases and she defended him from Ray's anger but gets mad at him about the situation in Chapter 4. However, she quickly sees the girl as a stalker and apologizes for accusing him of cheating on a girl. At the ballroom, they were given permission from Kara and Ray to dance with each other and they did excellent. She smiled happily as Light and Hope shared a slow dance together, calling it young love. She also comforted him when they find Emily r***d and murdered. She didn't blame him for hating Barkus because she got angry as well. When he is given the hammer by Mono-Junior, she smirks and tells him to go ahead.
- Charlie Book (friend and younger brother-figure): He loves him like a little brother and the child sees him as a big brother. He tries protecting the younger participant from adult stuff and to keep his innocence safe.
- Setsuna Chiburo (friend and older sister-figure): He loves her like an older sister and she sees him as a little brother. She always teases him about his admirers but he doesn't mind it. He was later upset by her virtual death.
- 82nd Class:
- Sara Maeda (big sister-figure): They're childhood friends.
- Enemies:
- Roman Kisaragi (arch-nemesis; deceased):
- Victor Barkus (arch-enemy; incarcerated): Just like his classmates, teachers, and the other students, he hates Victor Barkus for being a prejudice bully. He gets angry when Victor insults the others as well along with the teachers and wants him to back off. This hatred is increased when he now recognizes Victor as a sociopathic hitman who works for Roman, took pleasure in tormenting Light and his siblings, and also the one who raped and murdered Emily. He didn't show sympathy for Victor's execution and helped restrain him to arrest him for his crimes.
- Ayano Najimi (one-sided love-interest and rapist; incarcerated): At first, he doesn't mind her crush at all and is nice to her but eventually starts getting creeped out and worried when she becomes obsessive over him. He ends up being traumatized and horrified when he finds out that she's been raping him after secretly drugging him without his knowledge and feels betrayed that a girl he was nice to had done such a thing to him. He didn't react to her execution and was emotionally quiet because of the new-found knowledge.
