Hello there! My name is Marcus the Kane, it's not really my name but I call myself that cause I think it's cool and about who I really am is a mystery, not even myself knows about it. So my real identity and my origins is not known... but since this fic has been rebooted, you guys already know whom I am and my origins.
~ The author's intro regarding Marcus.

Marcus Alexander McGee-Sakurada, also known as The Kane, is the main protagonist of the XP4 Heroes Coalition series, written by XP4Universe.

A former child soldier and the adopted prince of the Sakurada family, who was separated by her biological older sister Aria Sakurada through a mysterious hand, Marcus spent most of his time living in Peach Creek at the Cul-De-Sac with Eddy and his older brother. He later joins in as an aspiring (albeit initially reluctant) hero at the titular multiversal organization to defend the multiverse from all forms of villainous threats, before becoming one of its members, as well as the leader of the New Age Avengers (now known as the Bullet Kingdom), and later a leader of the Union Vanguards.

Appearance[]

Marcus is a tall young man with dead fish eyes and shaggy blue hair. His attire varies depending on the situation, but it is usually a straightforward shirt with a long sleeve shirt beneath.

However, he would dress in a black suit over a red dress shirt, a black necktie, dark slacks, and white leather shoes as the Union Vanguards' commander. He also has a pair of sunglasses on top of his head and a big brown trench coat around his shoulders. This is either a blatant copy of or a jab at the uniforms worn by Marines.

Personality[]

Marcus' behaviour when he is housed in the subterranean facility is unknown. However, his adoptive sisters said that he was once kind and compassionate, which abhorred him to no extent. Most of his present-day actions were inspired by Eddy, who he met after losing his memories.

Marcus exhibits many characteristics that people find bizarre. He is a jerk, has a childish personality, is rude, a slap happy maniac, is addicted to coffee and parfaits, speaks at random, is prone to speaking bluntly, frequently makes offensive remarks, shamelessly picks his nose, wouldn't think twice about sticking two fingers up someone else's nose, consumes alcohol, smokes, and frequently refers to people by their nicknames (which mostly embarrassing). Additionally, while occasionally being a tsukkomi himself, he had a propensity of doing a bokke and tsukkomi routine for essentially everyone. He also enjoys pulling practical jokes, which always get him in trouble.

Overall, he is not a somebody to look up to.

Despite all of these shortcomings, he is bold, fearless, and willing to do whatever he believes to be the right thing to do. He would even put his own life in danger to defend someone. He also has a strong sense of determination and will do whatever it takes to reach his objectives.

He is a nice person and had a particular charisma that made him well-liked by everyone, gaining their unwavering allegiance despite his unpleasant and jerkish demeanour.

Malvina was one of the females he managed to win over without really trying, but she can be somewhat dense. He did, however, return their affection and even started dating Malvina. But once Nodoka disclosed that he was destined to marry twelve women, their relationship eventually develops into a harem. Although everyone is in favour of this connection and is in agreement with it, he acknowledges that he is unsure of his ability to maintain a relationship with several women, but he is eager to try.

Despite appearing inept, he had often demonstrated that he had excellent leadership qualities when things are at their worst. He is extremely charismatic and has acquired a sizable number of friends despite or perhaps precisely because of all of these characteristics. Even with his inappropriate jokes and sombre remarks, he can, when necessary, give knowledge and make people around him feel much more alive.

He has won a lot of devoted allies and friends because to this talent. Although understated, his leadership abilities are evident as he guides some of his current companions in combat. The most remarkable aspect of the series is his charm since it is because of this that he was able to win friends and allies via both his words and deeds.

He had recently started acting strangely and exhibiting even more horrific tendencies that no one had suspected he possessed, including the urge to kill. Marcus has secretly started killing people once more, but he only targets those who he believes deserve to die. Even though he would slaughter his foes ruthlessly, he is aware of the terrible implications of his heinous behaviour.

He also despises being the centre of attention and prefers to avoid the spotlight whenever feasible.

He is essentially neutral in terms of affiliation. In addition to acting as a hero, he occasionally gets along with an opponent that he likes, such as the Summoner, with whom he had a romantic relationship. He recognised to himself that he is beyond good and evil and cannot distinguish between right and wrong, yet he still maintains that he is just acting in accordance with his beliefs about what is right.

Marcus later stated that he occasionally feels attracted to men, which made him appear to be pansexual. But he was clear that he doesn't like males, as shown that he has four girlfriends.
