Melissa Turfblu is a major character in the Inkopolis Chaos trilogy. She serves as one of the three deuteragonists of Inkopolis Chaos 2 and a major character in Inkopolis Chaos 3.
She is Samuel’s overprotective older sister who wants to make sure no harm goes his way. She starts off distrustful to octolings due to past experiences, until she was saved by one, so she began to trust them more.
She also returns in the following oneshots: “A Burden To Bear”.
Melissa is a very paranoid inkling. She is always worried and stressed out, and she often has problems trusting people, especially octolings. Melissa hated octolings for a long time, and was even scared of them, but she ends up reforming after learning a lesson that their not all the same. She even took a vacation for over a year due to how stressed out she usually was.
She is very protective of her brother, and always makes sure no harm goes his way. She does think he is too trusting, so she is even more worried. She’s also quite forgetful, as she forgot to take her phone on her vacation, and also forgot Samuel’s phone number, which is why she was practically living under a rock. Despite this, she is a very kind person to be around if you get on her good side, as she really cares about her friends and family, showing strong concern regularly. She also shows a very passionate side to her, as shown by her defending Ruby from her thoughts, and trying her absolute best to make her feel better.

She is always protecting her brother whenever possible.
She refused to hand in Samuel to the octobusters.
She and Ruby rescued dozens of hostage octolings from the octobusters stadium.
She helped expose and take down the octobusters.
She let go of her old ways, and learning to trust octolings, even apologising to Natalie for her harsh treatment of her.
She helped free octolings from brainwashing.
She tried to take down Scarlet after she killed 11 people.
She helped rescue Cap’n Cuttlefish, Callie, Marie and Bethany.
She was protecting Sylvia in the final battle, noticeably concerned for her mental state when fighting against Blakeson.
She indirectly saved Summer’s life with ink armour, as when she activated it, it activated for Summer as well due to their same ink colour, saving Summer from being stabbed by Scarlet.
