Monokuma is the central supporting character in the gacha series, Daily Danganronpa Show.
He is the principal of Hope's Peak Academy who abandoned the idea of the Killing Games and made it normal for his students, subverting his own hobbies of killing to protecting his students at all costs.
Unlike most versions of Monokuma who are villainous and sadistic, he serves as a more heroic and protective who will save his students at all costs even attempting to stop Monaca from destroying the academy.
Biography:[]
While he did try to start a killing game even luring thousands of people to the academy, however, he abandoned the idea after Junko left him behind when she went on a vacation thus changing the killing game into a normal school for his students.
He introduced all of his students to the new kid, Issac Prescott who was sent to Hope's Peak Academy and giving them their own rooms. Altogether he was hesitant with the academy and wanting to do a Killing Game however he forgets about it and let's his students be around the academy. After gaining friendships with them, he decided to protect them at all costs from dangerous causes.
He receives a call from Monaca, threatening him that he has to do the Killing Game again and if he refuses, she will kill all of his students. He refuses to hurt his students and puts the school on lockdown to protect them.
Personality[]
Unlike his original counterpart, although mischievous, he is shown to be friendly and caring to his students after becoming very close to them, if not willing to save them from Monaca after she tries to burn the academy down.
(Alternate Route) Daily Danganronpa Show Season 1[]
In a alternative route, where it was originally meant to be a competition show, Monokuma planned to make it for those whoever wins, gets to become the principal of Hope's Peak for a month.
Unlike the Announcer or Chris Mclean, he is shown to be a more concerned show host as he tries to make the competition fair and not dangerous for his contestants.
He set the contestants in teams of two, Team Sky and Team Maroon, although he felt concerned about the amount of people he set in the teams.
