Penelope Shifter, better known simply as Pink, is the eighth and final opponent of the main story in Friday Night Funkin' Vs Impostor.
She is a pacifistic impostor who, as opposed to the other killers in the mod, doesn't want to kill anybody, rather she wants to befriend everyone instead, with her main goal in her disignated week being to befriend Boyfriend and to sing songs with him, with her managing to pull off the innocent crewmate persona so well that neither he nor Girlfriend ever even realize she was an imposter.
Appearance[]
She takes on the appearance of a pink crewmate with a heart on her head. When her impostor form is revealed, she is shown to have large gnashing teeth and the heart above her head is now broken.
Biography[]
During a round on the Mira HQ, Boyfriend and Girlfriend are hanging out in the Greenhouse alongside several other crewmates. While Boyfriend is talking with Girlfriend, Penelope, who'd previously lamented about how lonely she is, grabs their attention, using her endless positivity to hopefully gain a friend out of the matter. Both Boyfriend and Girlfriend are weirded out by her, but Boyfriend ultimately decides to give her the benefit of the doubt and agrees to be her friend, to which she is super ecstatic about, her first song "Heartbeat" follows this interaction.
Following their first duet, Penelope is incredibly excited and wants to play the song again, Boyfriend however, points out that they're supposed to go to the next song. Penelope, while somewhat saddened by this, keeps her spirits high, hoping that the next song will be just as good. It is then that Girlfriend pipes up, pointing out how it has been ten minutes and nobody has died yet. Boyfriend agrees with this peculiar circumstance, though he doesn't seem to think that Penelope is the impostor, undoubtably due to her friendly nature. Penelope agrees with this, however she seems a slight bit on edge, the next song "Pinkwave" follows this interaction.
Following the events of Pinkwave, Black, coming in from a vent behind them, proceeds to sabotage the lights and Gray (who had been sitting in the background the whole time) pulls out his knife and the two of them proceed to massacre the entirety of Mira HQ, including that of Boyfriend and Girlfriend, leaving Penelope alone with Gray.
After Black and Grey intervene and kill every crewmate there, Penelope is left in her exposed impostor form as she faces off against the ruthless sociopathic Grey. In a scrapped cutscene, Pink was seen escaping Grey's wrath in her parasite form.
Trivia[]
- Despite being an impostor, Pink is one of the few characters in VS Imposter who could be considered a hero.
- She is one of the few characters in the mod to be an in-game entity, similar to Grey and Black.
- Pink is the complete opposite of Grey. With Grey being a sociopathic murderous crewmate and Pink being a kindhearted pacifistic imposter.
