Rei Ayanami is one of the secondary protagonists alongside Asuka Langley Sohryu and Grimlock in Haddad's crossover fanfic Transformers Evangelion.
Appearance[]
She has the same appearance as her canon self.
Personality[]
She has the same personality as her canon self to a degree though a bit more cheerful due to Optimus Prime’s presence. She also believed god should love everyone equally when he faced with Galvatron and being supportive with Shinji Ikari in that moment.
History[]
She shares the same history as her original version until the Angel Arael showed up where Optimus Prime shown up to assist Shinji Ikari in dealing with the angel.
When Optimus Prime return to the NERV base after dropping off Shinji Ikari from school, Rei and Asuka Langley Sohryu would arrive in the room where they are in where she accused Lando of hiding her CDs while Rei said not to be rude before Optimus resolved it.
Later on she would pilot Evangelion Unit-00 when Starcream and attacked Tokyo-03 where she asked Optimus if he know him when she notice him recognizing the Decepticon. Though she played an supporting role in dealing with the Decepticon though she saw an mysterious creature destroy the seeker where everyone wondered where it came from.
Later on she would be inside Evangelion Unit-00 when she and everyone else would head to the Beast Machine's location where it would take her and everyone else where she noticed it knowing their moved going for Prime’s trailer where it was revealed Keel Lorenz is controlling it when he reveal his plan through it's loud speaker where he reveals it’s origin being made from Cheetor’s parts and Rei would outraged of how lower he gonna stoop before she engaged with to distract it when Evangelion Unit-02 was damaged by it and aided by Optimus Prime. However the creature bite into Unit-00 and crush it then rip it apart as it violently destroys it and killing her inside as Optimus, Shinji, and NERV look in horror, however she would be avenged when Grimlock joins the battle and destroy it by ripping it in half to put and end to her killer.
During SEELE's raid and attack on NERV as wether it was her somehow surviving or another of her clones was with Gendo Ikari who took advantaged during it in attempt to trigger the a Third Impact when Gendo was caught and apprehended by Ritsuko and Lando who latter told the former and afterwards when SEELE was defeated and brought into custody she would be with Asuka and Shinji alongside Optimus Prime of the aftermath they are free.
Though she was absent for mostly when Galvatron arrived the NERV base stealing seized remains of Adam and Lilith until he triggered the Third Impact to exterminate the Autobots and humanity where an illusion of her alongside everyone else Shinji knows would insult and treat him like trash that the Trinity of Megatrons created until the real Rei and Kaworu Nagisa's spirits arrived to assist and encouraging Shinji Ikari to stand up to the Decepticon leader as she and Kaworu disrupted their weaponry when he attempted to kill him while she and Kaworu lectured him on god loving all and comparing him to the Angels where Rei told him to believe in someone before disappearing that allow Shinji to believe in Optimus Prime that put astop to Galvatron’s plans. After Galvatron is killed Rei and Kaworu was revived by energy of the Third Impact and the Matrix of Leadership while also stabilizing Lilith and Adam's energy inside the two preventing all chances of an another impact from happening. Though she and Kaworu ultimately wanted to leave to space being now vessels of Adam and Lilith’s souls wishing to start start anew somewhere in space. Though everyone else saddened but she and Kaworu said their goodbyes even getting an hug and apology from Asuka for her treatment before Rei and Kaworu disappear and teleport into space ready to explore the universe as they were saluted by their friends.
Trivia[]
- While she was killed by the Beast Machine in chapter 3, she reappears in chapter 5 without explanation appearing with Gendo Ikari and is called an Rei lookalike but it is likely one of her clones before the original Rei got revived.
