Richard McRoy is the main protagonist of the Five Nights at Wario’s series.
He’s a nightguard tasked with working at the newly re-opened Wario’s fast food factory, secretly advice by his own father, Lucas, Getting phone calls every night by his co-worker, James. As it turns out however the factory’s haunted by the employees who died there 7 years prior and when James gets over there he is seemingly killed.
After the factory is closed for Good Richard McRoy starts to suffer nightmares about the creatures he Saw trying to kill him from his own TV screen. In truth These nightmares are caused by Luigi slowly possessing him and in Five Nights at Wario’s 2 he gets completely possessed.
He was voiced by Lewis K. Dawkins, also known as Dawko or DawkosGaming.
Appearance[]
Richard McRoy is actually modelled of Agent 47 from the Hitman games. He is a Bald White male of seemingly avarege height and weight wearing a black suit and black gloves.
His face is mostly obscured however, with the only exception being the Game over screen for Five Nights at Wario’s.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Richard McRoy was born to an unknown woman and Lucas McRoy, a high-ranking scientist in the same science company Morning Star, the same company as Christopher Peterson. While there’s very little information on Richard’s childhood and his relationship with his parents They lived in a Big house in the forest where Richard had his own playroom with lots of toys. There was One room however that he was never allowed to enter and his parents had a cable in their bedroom from which They could create static noise in all the Other rooms to better control him.
As Richard grew up he moved out of the house and into an apartment in the city.
Five Nights at Wario’s[]
In the second timeline, by the year 2014, Richard McRoy’s mother was Long gone while Lucas was still alive and he was struggling financially when he was offered a job to work as a nightguard by company planning to re-open the abandoned Wario’s fast food factory. Unaware that his own Father was the One who adviced them hiring him in order to observe any alledged paranormal activity, Richard accepted the job. For the next week Richard would be sitting in a office Watching over the factory through the security cameras while making sure to conserve the limited power he had, each night Getting phonecalls from his co-worker, James.
As it turned out however the place was actually haunted by the employees who died there 7 years ago who, mistaking Richard for their killer, would try to get into his office and kill him. Because of his financial struggles however, Richard had No Other option but to continue working as the undead stalkers got incresingly aggressive. On night 5 James called Richard and told him that he was suppossed to get a letter telling him that They where closing the factory and that there was No way of escaping until 6 am. James tried to get over to try and help Richard but was seemingly killed by the spirits.
The factory eventually closed down for Good and Richard McRoy was left out of a job once again.
Five Nights at Wario’s 4[]
Over the next 3 years Lucas McRoy passed away and Richard would begin to have nightmares of the creatures at the factory trying to attack him through his own TV, with the News channel reporting it as some kind of virus caused by hackers before reporting about a world-wide catastrophe as the same figures would leap out of Other people’s TV’s and kill them. In actuality the Nightmares where caused by Luigi, One of the undead factory workers, Who had left his own body back at the factory and entered Richard’s brain, slowly possessing him.
Five Nights at Wario’s 2[]
In October 2016 Richard McRoy bought an old indie video game development company called WarioWare inc. Wario and Waluigi’s primary business in the 90’s prior to building the fast food factory, and and had renovated to ruined burned building, previously owned by Morning Star before Wario and Waluigi purchased it. After the builders finished renovating the building Richard hired a quiet Irish man named Thomas Taylor to work as nightguard at it the same he himself did back at the fast food factory.
Much like James before him Richard would give Thomas phonecalls to assist him at his new job, admitting that the place was rumored to be haunted as the fact the building was originally destroyed by a mysterious created named Bowser but sounded confident otherwise. Over the course week Thomas would start to report strange demonic creatures stalking him on the cameras to Richard reached with surprising calmness. On top of that he was sounding more and more unhinged. On the 6th night Richard’s voice sounded at times demonic and it was revealed that Luigi and completely taken over his mind, turning him into a crazed, murderous servant who had only bought WarioWare inc. in order to trick someone into becoming a nightguard for the dark entities to kill.
Some kind of time-warp happened and everyone inside the building was transferred over into the date May 8th 2017. Richard, Who had entered the backroom, could was heard screaming by both Thomas and a nearby pedestrian named Matt Parker who called the police. Richard fled the building moments before a surviving Thomas and became a wanted fugitive.

- Richard McRoy is the only human who makes any sort of physical appearance prior to the series being rebooted, although his father's face is fully shown in the lore videos by Triple W Wario, but within the games themselves Richard is the only one that is seen via his head in the game over screen of Five Nights at Wario's or his torso in the bad ending of Five Nights at Wario's 3.
