Ruby is the deuteragonist of the Story of the Blanks, a horror fangame of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Ruby is an Earth pony who lived in the Sunny Town. When Ruby received her cutie mark, other residents of Sunny Town, believing that Ruby's newly received cutie mark was a curse, killed Ruby. She became a ghost after her death. As her ghost accidentally led Apple Bloom to the Sunny Town and Apple Bloom was attacked by Nightmares, Ruby's ghost appeared in front of the escaping Apple Bloom and helped Apple Bloom to successfully escape from the Nightmares.
Not much is known about Ruby's personality. It could be concluded that Ruby is kind and friendly, as Ruby apologized to Apple Bloom for unintentionally leading Apple Bloom to the dangerous situation and helped Apple Bloom to successfully escape from the cursed Everfree forest.

Pre-Death[]
Ruby was a Earth pony who lived in the Sunny Town, a location where its residents don't have cutie mark. Ruby discovered her talent in finding things and received her cutie mark, a magnifying glass. As other residents of the Sunny Town believed that the cutie marks are a curse, Ruby was killed and her skeletal remains was placed in the fireplace in an abandoned house. Sometimes after Ruby's death, the residents of the Sunny Town were cursed as they became zombie-like beings named Nightmares.
Post-Death[]
After Ruby's death, Ruby would become a ghost. One day, her ghost roamed the Everfree forest and was seen by Apple Bloom, who was waiting for Twilight Sparkle moving the trees in their path. Apple Bloom was led by Ruby's ghost to the Sunny Town, and was eventually led to the abandoned house where Ruby's skeletal remains was placed in. As Apple Bloom encountered the Nightmares attempting to kill Apple Bloom and escaped to the cursed Everfree forest, Ruby's ghost appeared in front of Apple Bloom. Ruby's ghost apologized to Apple Bloom for accidentally leading Apple Bloom to the dangerous place, and Apple Bloom said that it was not her fault. As Nightmares approached Apple Bloom, Ruby said that she was good at finding thing and managed to find a way for Apple Bloom to escape from the cursed Everfree forest. After Apple Bloom and Twilight Sparkle left the Everfree forest, Ruby's ghost said, "See you later, friend".
Trivia[]
It is implied that Mitta is Ruby's friend. When Apple Bloom meets non-Nightmare form Mitta, Mitta is seen crying for something happening again and again, likely referring the curse turning the residents of the Sunny Town into the Nightmares. Further, Nightmare form Mitta tells the escaping Apple Bloom that the residents of the Sunny Town have been cursed to be Nightmares after killing Ruby. Mitta says that she should be protecting Ruby when Ruby is killed, and Nightmare form Mitta does not attack Apple Bloom, unlike other Nightmares. Thus, Mitta is listed as Ruby's friend in the character infobox of this page.
