The SMG4 Crew are the titular main protagonists of the Australian adult-animated sitcom series SMG4 and its spinoffs.
Consisting of SMG4's interpretation of the YouTube Rangers originally, and characters from the Super Mario franchise with himself, Mario, Luigi, Bowser and occasionally Toad as initial members, later on he developed his own original characters to add, including but unrestricted to Fishy Boopkins, Bob, Meggy Spletzer, Saiko Bichitaru, Tari, Shroomy, Greg and Axol, as well as Chris Gordman and Swagmaster69696969696. Peach Toadstool served as an initial member before leaving in Season 8. Desti was also a short-term member before she died.
Ever since 2011, they have been up to funny, scary, random, and epic misadventures and shenanigans. However, they've been involved in dramatic and rather emotional and serious adventures in story arcs such as The Waluigi Arc, The Rapper Bob Arc, The Anime Arc, The SMG4 Cosmology Lore, The Lawsuit Arc, and PUZZLEVISION.
Current members[]
- SMG4 - One of the two main protagonists of the series and the creator of the bloopers. He is a partially amnesiac meme guardian who lives in Peach's Castle with Mario, mostly making his bloopers or playing Minecraft, and gets generally irritated by Mario (who is apparently his assistant), but he likes him even so.
- Mario - One of the two main protagonists of the series. He is the SMG4 universe’s avatar who is brainless and crazy for spaghetti. Almost all of the bloopers revolve around him and the trouble that he gets the main cast and himself into.
- Luigi - Mario's younger brother and one of the two deuteragonists of the series. He makes smarter and better decisions than Mario does, but he's still as cowardly as he is in the actual games, if not more so.
- Fishy Boopkins- A Spike who is a massive otaku fan and has a love for dakimakura pillows, His first appearance was in the Seaside Stupidity two-parter episode. Typically, a butt-monkey of the group, but doesn't really mind that much.
- Bob - A Garo who plainly was a sewer wizard from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Mario and Luigi first met him in SM64 Bloopers: Can Ganondorf come out to play?. He's obsessed with fame, money and getting the most screen-time in his appearances. The text to speech voice he has is the "WillFromAfar" text to speech voice from Acapella. Despite his humorous punching bag status, Bob has proven he can be a complete repulsive, self-admitted bastard if he's given no attention that he wants, especially since he is the main antagonist of The Rapper Bob Arc. He has redeemed himself (for the most part) after the arc, and will assist his friends in their endeavors, albeit poorly.
- Meggy Spletzer- One of the two deuteragonists of the series. She is a former inkling turned human who suffers from trauma that had been captured in a paint bucket at some point and later freed by Mario, causing her to run amok and flee into a manhole that leads to Inkopolis, taking Mario along with her. She finishes in Turf War tournaments with her team, the Splat Squad. She was really popular in her first episode and rapidly became a fan favorite. After her reappearance in The Mario Channel: MARIO'S CHALLENGE, she was moved up to major character status and has made regular appearances since then. After The Anime Arc, she was transformed into a human.
- Saiko Bichitaru - A beautiful but crazy love interest from an unnamed dating game that is based on Doki Doki Literature Club. Boopkins brought her to life one day by using Kamek's wand, but their relationship ends in a disaster. However, she has since recovered from the incident and has considered Boopkins a friend, though she remains a plain psychopath. However, since Season 10 her appearances have reduced a bit.
- Tari - A shy blue-haired gamer who tends to get hurt so much. Mario turns to her for guidance on how to be a great player and beat SMG4's in Super Smash Each Other In The Ass Bros, and as such became good friends with them both and the rest of the gang, that is Meggy and Saiko.
- Melony - A melon-turned human with the powers of the Fierce Deity Mask and a former member of the Anti-Cast. She most likely became the owner of Inkweaver after Axol’s death. Probably the nicest member of the gang (alongside Tari).
- SMG3 - The other SMG of the SMG4 universe, SMG4's former arch-nemesis and the overall redeemed main antagonist of the series. Mainly, he is in the Internet Graveyard, streaming, and caring for Dead Memes and his beloved Eggdog after the death of Terrance. Ever since Genesis Arc, SMG3 appears to be on good end with the gang and SMG4. He then redeems himself when he leaves the Internet Graveyard due to it being a trash heap lately and moves in with SMG4's Gang in the Showgrounds. since then, he now changes his ways and becomes part of the crew as they go on their adventures and defeat many dangerous foes such as an SMG perfectionist God wannabe, a corrupt official alter ego of Funky Kong, and an obsessed CEO with a TV for its head.

- Starman3 - A YouTuber who used to be a friend of SMG4 but due to real-life controversies, he's been removed from SMG4's videos.
- Peach Toadstool - The ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and the castle Mario and nearly everyone else lives in. She was the important female character in early bloopers until Meggy took over that role in late 2017, which explains her recent lack of appearances. However, she is still frequently allied with the gang. She's also one of the two main antagonists of Part 1 of The Anime Arc, alongside Desti. When SMG4 decides to create a Perfect Video with the help of A Mysterious Someone, it creates a gigantic demon that ultimately engulfs her castle with Peach in it. Her descent of humanity has now reached insanity after being forgotten to be rescued in her own castle following its destruction from the Demonic Goop and eventually abandonment. Upon realizing she was trapped for good, all Peach could do was panic and plead for some way to escape. However, the Demonic Goop has now corrupted her, leaving her devoid of morality and sense of control and instead transformed her into a feral, predatory state. This led to her attacking anyone who set foot in the ruins of her castle regardless of if they were a friend or foe.
- Xboxfan997/X - He used to appear in a lot in SMG4's videos but within 2015, his appearances have been mostly limited to just being the host of the War of the Fat Italians series.
- FightingMario54321 - Like Nintendofan997, FightingMario54321 he is another friend of SMG4. He has less appearances starting from 2015, being lowered to just cameos.
- Axol (deceased) - An Inkopolis-born manga artist who can bring Anime characters to life using his magic pen, Inkweaver. In War Of The Fat Italians 2021, he was killed by Melony unwillingly in order to kill SMG0.
- Shroomy - A young anthropomorphic mushroom with split personalities who is also a member of the Mushroom Scouts who has over 300,000 badges to his name. Became a good friend of Mario after completing a challenge he set up.
- Bowser - The so-called big bad of the Mushroom Kingdom who's always trying and willing to kidnap Princess Peach. However despite this, he is actually one of Mario's friends. He isn't too smart as his Super Mario counterpart and often falls victim to his own incompetence. He temporarily left the gang during The Anime Arc, but he joined back in late 2019.
Enemies[]
- Mr. Puzzles (formerly archenemy: deceased)- The overall secondary antagonist in the series. He seems to enjoy watching SMG4 and co. suffer. As he calls WOTFI 2023 a "good show". He is very mysterious and sticks to the shadows. He's the reason for SMG4's insanity and Peach's castles destruction as "high marks", One-Shot Wren's simulation and tramatizing Meggy as it "brought him into tears", and telling Marty about SMG3's Secret Pizza Recipe in his notebook. After losing everyone's trust, he vows to "fix" the damage he did, but it's currently unknown how will he do it though.
- Niles (main archenemy; deceased)- A cataclysmic SMG and the overarching antagonist of the series. He was the one behind the disappearances of the Mario recolours and SMG3’s crash landing in the Mushroom Kingdom whose objective is to use Mario to rebuild his universe, no matter the consequences, especially the fact it can destroy the universe.
- One-Shot Wren (deceased) - The Main antagonist of SMG4 Movie: Western Spaghetti. After losing all of his fame, he turned to Mysterious TV Guy, and was given a simulation where he always wins. He tortured Meggy Spletzer with it for a whole month. Even after his death, Meggy still had enduring PTSD to this day.
- Francis (deceased) - Meggy’s arch-nemesis and the main antagonist of The Anime Arc in general, as well as Part 2. He is the evil boss of the Anime Cartel and would need the assistance of SMG4, Bob, and Fishy Boopkins to lead Saiko to Japan, He forms a short-term pact with Mario, Axol and co. to get anime unbanned in the Mushroom Kingdom. He's also the mastermind behind the mass kidnapping of Inklings and Octolings, and plans to use their ink to power the Ink Weaver to 100% in oder for him to be able to have an island of anime waifus. However, due to Mario and friends and the A.S.S.'s messing around, Francis is taken down and killed in a pretty gruesome way, by having his bodily fluids slowly sucked out of his body by a spare Ink Zuccer.
- Waluigi - Wario's partner/brother and is also the arch-rival of Luigi who starred in "The Wacky Wario Bros." episodes alongside Wario. After controlling the power of rejection, he ended up being the main antagonist of The Waluigi Arc. He later becomes an occasional enemy to the crew.
- Demonic Goop - A enormous monster that SMG4 summoned with his Eldritch Keyboard which caused a massive cataclysm on Peach's Castle. The goop possessed SMG4 and took over the castle, trying to spread throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. It also trapped Mario, Meggy and SMG3 inside the castle and tried to kill them. It was defeated when SMG3 managed to free SMG4 from the goop and complete the video with him. However, the goop still remained in the place where the castle sank. However, Princess Peach was trapped inside the goop and eventually went insane and mutated into a monster.
- Box Club Leader (deceased) - An evil Box Man who kidnapped Melony as his messiah for The God Box.
- Team Killer Ink - A villainous team of inklings competing in the final Splatfest who are racist and prejudice towards humans. They were the main antagonists of SMG4 Movie: Meggy's Destiny.
