He presumedly shares the same history as his game self during time the fan film was released.
He would be challenging Shadow to an race with Amy and Tails betting on him with Knuckles betting against him due to him "cheating" against a duel previously with the Chaos Emeralds to his annoyance. There he would race Shadow until he was attacked by the former where it turned into an brawl and fight. The two hedgehogs would trade blow to blow they would eventually charge their spin dashes into each other that caused others to be sent to their world. There Sonic would seemly gotten to known Goku by the time Vegeta woke up from being knocked unconscious. There Sonic be hold a bit by Goku what is they're up against though Sonic insisted he can help out having dealing with threats before as they all head off. There Sonic would be told about Goku's World including the Dragon Balls when Metal Sonic attacks were he accidentally hits Goku meant for Sonic where the robot makes his presence with Sonic mocking how Metal felt being deactivated prior from an previous conflict prior to the start of the fan film. Though Sonic would see Metal Sonic with an Chaos Emerald in his hand where Vegeta would attack the robot out of sheer arrogance but underestimated him where Sonic had to intervene with an spin-dash which Metal countered.
