Soul Boyfriend is an overarching protagonist in the mod Friday Night Funkin' Corruption.
He serves as a last resort for Boyfriend to not give up on his goal about saving the world from The Corruption.
Appearance[]
Soul Boyfriend appears very similar to Boyfriend. However, he is depicted as looking like a shadow of Boyfriend with glowing white eyes and mouth. He is also has a devil tail. During Neuroses, he has glowing white horns, and parts of him start to glow white.
Biography[]
After the Corruption has successfully taken control of the entire world, Corrupted Boyfriend is left to wander aimlessly. From within, Boyfriend is sleeping before being waken up by Soul Boyfriend who challenges him to a rap battle.
After the first song, Soul Boyfriend kicks it up a notch as he tells Boyfriend to keep pushing, even pulling out a guitar to further motivate him. While the two jam, Soul Boyfriend soon vanishes, leaving Boyfriend to begin succumbing again.
However, as he sorrowfully sings to himself, Soul Boyfriend appears again and tosses him a guitar. The two continue their push as the Corruption attempts to get Boyfriend to stop by convincing him it is hopeless and that everybody is already dead. The moment Soul Boyfriend asks Boyfriend if he truly intends to give up though, Boyfriend gets his spark back and the two of them finish their song, ending by smashing their guitars together.
Boyfriend's confidence back, Soul Boyfriend begins to say farewell to him. Boyfriend requests one more song before he goes as a sendoff. While Soul Boyfriend tells him that he isn't even real, he complies just the same. With their final song finished, Soul Boyfriend tells Boyfriend to go and defeat the Corruption once and for all, sending him out with an uppercut to the face. Toward the end of Estranged after Evil GF drives BF insane, he falls back into his mind where a silhouette of Soul BF appears to give BF the confidence to continue fighting back.
