~ Hyde to The Vulture |
Hyde Li, also known as Spider-Man, is a teenager who became the top student in Hudson Junior High School despite having "average" grades and eventually gained spider-like abilities after a genetically altered spider bit him while attending a field trip to Midtown High School. He is also the titular protagonist of The Spider-Man and its Stick Nodes Adaptation, and a major supporting character in Spider-Verse: Infinite Realities.
Appearance[]
Hyde is a young adult with long brown hair and blue green eyes. He usually wears a black jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and a pocket chain. Later on, Hyde wore a red jacket, a blackish gray shirt, black jeans, and the same white shoes and pocket chain, as well as a different hair style that remains long.
As the Human Spider, Hyde wore a red mask with eye lens that are originally from Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man suit and wore a long-sleeved red shirt with a spider emblem on the front and back. Hyde also wore blue jeans & red shoes with steeled toes.
As Spider-Man, Hyde wore a red mask, a sleeveless jacket with a black spider logo at the front and another emblem on the back, a shirt underneath, a pair of fingerless black gloves, black jeans, and red shoes with white-steeled toes. Even as Spider-Man, Hyde wears the same pocket chain. Later on, Hyde would wear a long-sleeved red leather jacket on top of his black t-shirt that has a white spider emblem like the one seen in MTV's Spider-Man Series; as well as the back. Hyde also wears white jeans, red shoes and a multitude of belts.
When Brainwashed as Spider-Man, Hyde wears the exact same mask, shirt, black jeans and fingerless gloves as before, but also wears a sleeveless hoodie with a yellow spider logo on the front and back, as well as a pair of red boots. His eye lens also change color from the standard lens to a pink color, which means that he's completely brainwashed.
In Freedom: Triple Tag Struggle, Hyde wore the same outfit when he first debuted, but with black combat boots that have steel plates and steeled toes (the same goes with his fingerless gloves but with steel plates only) and a multitude of belts different from the ones he currently wears.
Personality[]
Hyde is a lazy and somewhat caring individual that’s talented but reckless as he rushes into many situations without thinking much about the consequences. Hyde is also seen as a brash and rude person that’s deeply caring about those close to him, despite having delinquent tendencies.
History[]
Early Life[]
Hyde was born to two unnamed parents (who died of unknown reasons) at November 7 of the year 2025 and was adopted by a young Miura Kenpachi, who took him in 3 days after wailing for help. He was then taught street boxing, martial arts, manners, and many more such as cooking, being a good mechanic and so on by the young crime lord since childhood before being taken to The Bronx at the age of 13 to see if he was capable of defending himself. Turns out, he was capable of doing so and eventually parted ways.
Becoming Spider-Man[]
Hyde Li, now a high school senior, is a talented but reckless street kid who became the top student in Hudson Junior High School despite having grades that were "average." While attending a field trip to Midtown High School, Hyde was bitten by a genetically altered spider and eventually gained spider-like abilities.
Hyde would later use his powers to find criminals and attack them for disrupting New York's peace before the police arrive. This would eventually make Hyde don a mask, as well as designing his costume out of clothes that he no longer wears in order to hide his identity from the public. During this time, he confronted The Vulture after hearing about his unstoppable crime spree and attempts to beat him, but his inexperience led to his defeat, and The Vulture got away after stealing some cash. A second encounter with Vulture would then result in Hyde winning, with him taking out the mechanical wings and pins the Vulture to a wall by using his webs.
After beating The Vulture, Hyde then got himself involved in a

Attributes[]
Powers[]
Spider-Physiology - Spider-Man possesses the proportionate powers of a spider. The bite triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Li, which granted him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities.[1]
- Spider-Sense - Spider-Man possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns him of potential immediate danger by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of his skull, and links with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him to evade most any injuries unless he cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes. The precise nature of this sense is unknown. It appears to be a simultaneous clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena (everything from falling safes to speeding bullets to thrown punches), which has given several hundredths of a second warning, which is sufficient time for his reflexes to allow him to avoid many injuries.
- Superhuman Attributes -
- Enhanced Strength - Spider-Man's physical strength is sufficient to lift and throw objects as heavy as most standard automobiles with ease. Spider-Man's physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound. Spider-Man has shown impressive feats of strength. Such as when
- Enhanced Speed - Spider-Man can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
- Enhanced Stamina - Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods before fatigue begins to impair him.
- Enhanced Durability - Spider-Man's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. He can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an incredibly strong opponent, that would severely injure or kill a normal human.
- Enhanced Agility - Spider-Man's equilibrium, dexterity, and flexibility are all enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
- Enhanced Reflexes - Spider-Man's reflexes are similarly enhanced. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack.
- Enhanced Equilibrium - Spider-Man has an enhanced equilibrium that is able to adjust his position by instinct, which allows him to balance himself on any object, no matter how small or narrow it is.
- Wall-Crawling - After being bitten, Hyde's skin grows a sharp, "barbed" like material and this allows Hyde to cling to surfaces.

- Organic Webbing Generation - Spider-Man is gifted with the ability to organically produce his silk webbing from glands within his forearms, limited by his body's health and nutrition. These organic webs have many of the same properties as Peter Parker's artificial webbing. Thanks to its similar properties, it appears Spider-Man can utilize his organic webbing in any way he could with his artificial webbing. The silk is released through a spinneret near each wrist containing a central web spigot orifice used for web-slinging and draglines, supplemented by several radial minor spigots for other types of webs connected to specialized glands; he can fire organic webbing from his wrists.
- Regenerative Healing Factor - Spider-Man regenerates his injuries faster and more extensively than a normal human. After getting his powers, he soon found that

Abilities[]
Hyde has gone from a student who had consistent grades that have ups and downs in high school to a very skilled magic physicist who’s at the top of his class as he becomes more secure with his dual roles while in college. His knowledge of Magic Physics has impressed the likes of
- High Intelligence - Hyde is very gifted in terms of combat, mechanics, cooking, magic physics and academics despite being seen as "incompetent". After being brainwashed by Oni, Hyde was able to find out where Skipz and Clyde are hiding within the minutes it took to solve a Rubik's Cube, if not less and worked on syringes that knock people out and paralyze them for 72 hours alongside Oni...though, he reverted back to his old IQ after being freed. In Spider-Verse: Infinite Realities, Hyde began to show pretty slow but really drastic changes in terms of intelligence, such as
- Skilled Combatant - Hyde has become a highly skilled fighter since childhood and during his vigilantism career.
- Master Marksman - Hyde is highly accurate when he projects his webbing. He usually shoots to blind, silence, or restrain his opponents in battle. He's also capable of using firearms and is highly proficient with them since his adoptive father trained him as a child.

Trivia[]
- Unlike his other counterparts, Hyde prefers using Close Range Fighting much more often than Ranged Fighting despite the fact that he’s able to shoot webs.
- In Spider-Verse: Infinite Realities (both the roleplay and stick nodes series), Hyde has never showed his face to his fellow spider-men alongside his enemies.
- Fellow Spider-Men Takeru and Kroeger also did the same as Hyde, since they've met
- Hyde's Freedom Counterpart is Miyashita. Both characters are amateurs when it comes to heroics and their powers (Hyde possessing the basic Spider-Man powers while Miyashita possesses those similar to Solarverse's Issei Hyoudou, if not), have harsh tempers and attitudes, being lazy in general and are the main protagonists of their separate series. Both have love-interests that are C.I.A. Operatives that used to be Soldiers for the Military (Miyashita's being Leonhart and Hyde's being Minami Nguyen) and tend to rush into situations without thinking much about the consequences.
- They would proceed to meet each other in Freedom: Triple Tag Struggle, where Hyde thought of Miyashita as his "doppelganger" before eventually becoming best friends.
- This also went for Ragna the Bloodedge, who Hyde thought of as his “other doppelgänger” and later “Main Bad Boi” (since he plays BlazBlue Games, as well as BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle) before eventually becoming best friends.
