Stan Marsh, later known as Smiler, is the main protagonist of the South Park creepypasta Smiling Cherub.
He is a tragic version of Stan Marsh who slowly goes insane due to him hearing about the deaths of Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, crushed by a cargo truck while they were escaping from their school. Two weeks later, his colors then slowly become more and more depressing and darker the point he gains a wide, sadistic smile. Eventually, his insanity later causes him to commit suicide by jumping down his own grave.
Appearance[]
Stan Marsh seems to have the same appearance as he does in the original South Park for most of the creepypasta. However, his appearance drastically changes during the time he gets haunted by the voices, with small horns forming from his hair, his skin becoming much paler, blood slowly leaking out of his hidden eyes and even gaining a wide, insane smile.
Personality[]
Stan Marsh's personality is quite the same as in the original South Park, with major differences. He is much more tragic than his original counterpart, as the voices of Kyle, Cartman and Kenny constantly haunts his mind to the point he turns insane, eventually leading him to end his own life by jumping down his grave.
Biography[]
Stan Marsh is first seen in his school after Kyle, Cartman and Kenny left the classroom, which goes on similar to the episode "Ass Burgers". However, this time, when he is called inside the Principal's office, he learns about the deaths of Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, all three of them were crushed by a cargo truck, causing Stan to become depressed, sobbing because of how much he cared about them.
Two weeks later, Stan is awakened from his sleep when his alarm clock rings, followed by a screamer of the malformed, fused bodies of Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. His appearance has noticeably changed from the two weeks after the tragic cargo truck incident, now sporting bags under his eyes. He then goes downstairs to see his mother Sharon, who gets concerned about Stan's depressed state and tells him that there are days which can be difficult to follow after a tragic event, but having that face won't give him anything and what matters is that he can smile for good times to come some time after. This seems to calm Stan a bit, but he still takes his lunch and leaves his house to get to the bus stop.
This is where Stan's mental state starts to deteriorate, eventually hearing psychedelic voices as well as the voices of his friends Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in his mind, blaming him for past things he had done in the past. As the voices get heavier, Stan covers his eyes with his hat, becoming nervous and running faster towards the bus stop, only to finally snap and kneel down when one last voice strikes in, saying that it sucks being around him, leading to Stan bursting into tears uncontrollably. After a good moment of crying, he decides to remove the hat from his face, but it becomes stuck, like if it became part of Kyle's head. As this happens, he begins to hear the voices again, but now more macabre than before, laughing at him for not being able to remove his hat. He then trips and falls on the pavement, cutting the laughter off.
He then continues on his way to the bus stop, having left his backpack in the process, all alone as nobody except him were seen in the scene. Eventually, blood starts to leak out from under his hat and his colors slowly start to fade into darker colors, as well as a smile, showing that he doesn't care about everything that happened to him. After a while of walking, he finally reaches the bus signal, making all of Stan's illusions fade out slowly, but his appearance remained the same. He then goes on to stare at the viewer and wait for the school bus.

Afterwards, Stan became much more insane to the point of just staying at the bus stop, with his appearance now being a person with grey skin and dull, dead black clothing as well as a wide smile with sharp teeth. The blood was also black as well. He then resumed his walking cycle, now with a new substance dripping out of his face, looking like oil. Screams were then heard as Stan was then seen in the scholl cafeteria, with multiple black goops full of eyes around him.
Soon after, his face start dripping more and more substance down his cheeks, leaving only his smile full of sharp teeth. He then resumed his his walking again for a while, only to suddenly stop, later resuming again, now walking inside the Mt. Peaceful Cemetery as the screams and eyes were left behind. This time, during his walking, he sees multiple dead bodies of Kenny McCormick, probably representing all of his past lives that people were tired of burying him inside a grave stone and instead opting to leave them there instead. He then finally reaches a gravestone mentioning his own name and then turns his back towards it, before falling down in it, killing himself in the process.
In the epilogue of the creepypasta, the story's deuteragonist (an unnamed person who witnessed all the events happening to Stan) went to see what the other characters in the show were doing on the screen, they spotted Stan all alone, fixing the viewer while performing a wide and deranged smile, with eyes giving an eerie feeling.

- This version of Stan Marsh is possibly one of the darkest sides seen of him, as his mental health has deteriorated greatly to the point he has turned into a dull, black and sadistic but tragic boy.
- A fun fact Smiling Cherub version of Stan Marsh by Salfon Games has made appearance a Friday Night Funkin Mod Called Smiling Park in Friday as Boyfriend tried to cheer him up for songs but is doesn't go well with stan as voices of his head just make him go insane and final song of mod stan appearance changes to his eyes dripping blood , slowly his skin changes color and his clothes turn more darker as is goes on then the song ends as to be continued title pop up which means there's more coming in mod next update.
