Steve is the deuteragonist of the Element Animation Web Series, An Egg's Guide to Minecraft, He is an amnesiac survivor who seeks to know the truth and his Purpose in the Game of Minecraft, he then aids the help of Jason in his answers.
He is voiced by the Late Scott Stoked.
Biography[]
Steve is first seen when he spotted Jason after the latter ran from Mobs which he then fired his arrows at the Two Creepers approaching Jason who was at a cliff in a dead end, He then goes up to Jason and questions him in an agitated tone, which Jason explains his appearance, which Steve holts Jason for a moment, stating that round things aren't real, Later they then head towards a Village where they see a group of terrified Villagers expecting someone to take care of a "Beast", however it turns out to be a Cow, which Steve then watches in annoyance as one Villager tries to go near the Mob but collapses in fear, Steve then facepalm out of disbelief, the villager then told Steve to come to him, thinking he is dying, Steve tries to convince the Villager that he was fine, Which the Villager Yells to him to go with it, to which Steve mockingly obliges, The Villager then hands him a book as well as breaking the fourth wall to follow him on twitter before pretending to pass on. Steve then realises the person he is searching for was named Notch and heads to the Library in a dramatic tone, where he pulls out a book, activating a secret trapdoor which activates a secret bookshelf to a hidden dungeon, leaving Steve alone, Steve then finally found a Book with all the Answers (a Book of Minecraft) as well as judging one particular book Twilight, saying it sucks, Steve then sees a Villager which then disappears to which Jason came back to see Steve reading, Steve then realises that Notch lives in a far away place, but it includes Diamonds in order to get through, a Villager then comes out which realises their chests of Diamonds have been Stolen, Jason then burps one out, which led to his Trial by the Village, Steve then offers to Bail Jason towards the Villager Judge in exchange for a random block, that being dirt, due to their stupidity, the Villager Judge agrees to let Jason go, which the two then Celebrate in a Freeze-Frame jump midair, to which the Villager judge looks in confusion. They then head later to the woods where they decide to take a break, Steve then warns Jason that there are monsters in the Night, as he leaves to gather Wood to start a fire, he then later appear with a ladder full of Wood blocks which he stole from a village, despite only needing one block, at night, he then makes a fire and explains his reasons of finding notch was to figure out what is he really here for as long as he has the Book, he will stick to the right path, he then sees Jason sleeps, he then realises an arrow passing through his face and hitting his stack of wood shot by a skeleton, upon realising he was ambushed by mobs, he fought hard as more kept firing from the dark, where Steve grabbed his sword and hit many arrows as he can, however one of them manages to hit him greatly, he then sees an underman, taking the book to which he shouts no before collapsing, Steve then awakes to see a Villager taking back his wood blocks as well as seeing Jason talking to a Cow, to which he then rushes and punches the Cow with great strength, causing the cow to drop Beef offscreen, which Steve then ate, regenerating from his wound through his chest, Steve then suddenly sees Jason floating to which he then screams rationally, Steve then tries to stop Jason for being inappropriate and punches him to which he screams more, he then has a vision which reveals that Jason swallowed an Eye of Ender which would led them to the end portal and the Book, he then explains how fun it was to get the eye out of Jason, which the latter walks away as Steve then tells Jason to stop disappointing in himself, which then the two then fell into a minecart, as well as the Eye of ender, landing in one of the Carts, to which they try and nab, where they see random things and a Creeper in a minecart crossing the railroad, they then had their photos taken, but where unable to do so due to the cart kept going, they then were flung over the lava ravine as a villager passes through loosing his stack of wood, Steve then hallucinates, seeing Jason turning into an entity's head, they then land in the cart along with the Eye, but crashes into a stone pillar at the end of the track, causing Steve's right arm to be twisted and finds Jason knocked out, Steve then sees a giant Stone statue as well as hallucinating floating Herobrine heads approaching him, which then disappear, he then finds a figure passing around him but was soonto be a Villager, Steve then interrogates the Mysterious Villager who the latter mistakes Steve to be his master, as well as having a split-personality, The Villager then notices Steve's arm was broken and hands him a potion which magically rehabilitates his Arm, Steve questions the place which was once a Shrine to worship "The great and Powerful One" Steve asks the Villager directions to the Stronghold, to which the Villager then generously leads him to the entrance, but points out that only his Master would've known where It was, Steve realising this then laughs and compares to the Statue to be not one in the same, The Villager then asks his Side about the latter, to which he then realises Steve and wishes him luck, to which Steve then carries Jason with him to the Stronghold, Meanwhile the Villager then summons his master, which he emerges from the ground, Steve then wakes Jason and tells him that he has found the Portal and is almost to completely activating it, he then places an eye of ender into the portal which opens up a rift, but was Stopped by "The Great and Powerful one", the entity then summons Mobs to go after Steve and Jason to which they Ran, during the middle of the chase a flash of light appears, The game then updates and he, along with the mobs are waiting, the game then updates itself, they then agree to continue on with the chase, Steve then meets a dead end to which Jason accidentally pushes him in fear, luckily Steve saves himself by hanging onto a Pickaxe, he then heads towards the bridge but was already surrounded by the "The Great and Powerful One's" forces to which the latter appears and calls Steve his "Brother", Steve then throws Jason away from the Mobs but was unable to due to the Entity's presence surrounding them, The Entity then tries to Abduct Steve, but Steve then mines a block from the Bridge, sending him falling into the void, The Great and Powerful One" Then leaves Steve an Evil Laugh to which he responds, yelling in denial, Confirming his survival, The Entity then orders an Enderman to apprehend Steve, which the mob then teleports back to after founding Steve with ease, "The Great and Powerful One" Then paralyses Steve, which he ceases actions to resist, and for him to be taken to the Portal, separating Jason as he was chased by mobs shortly after. In Part 16, Steve's comatose body was seen lying on a quartz bed after being taken by "The Great and Powerful One" 's lair inside of the end portal, Steve then awakens and sees the entity approaching him, which Steve then scream in Pain. meanwhile in Part 18, Jason was then surrounded by Mobs, which knock him out and take him towards their Master's lair where he see's Steve (possibly brainwashed), slowly approaching him in a familiar way where they first met and utters the same line in a different voice.
Trivia[]
- Steve's early appearance was in Jason's Holiday, where he was revealed to be Jason's Kidnapper.
- Steve also appears as a recurring character in Dan Bull's Mob Rap videos, being the main character in Version B of "The Creeper Rap" Where he punches the Creeper before it explodes, he then later does the same with other mobs as well.
- Steve can be briefly seen in a collection of Scott Stoked's Roles in Element Animation titled "Remembering Scott".
- Steve appears as a cameo in Epic Minecraft, along with Jason and George after weirdly noticing their other counterparts.
