Stewart Andrew Rudich is a recurring character on the adult animated television series Red And Friends. He is the brother of Leslie Rudich and the leader of "The Boys" which consists of him, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick. He first appeared in the season 1 episode "Partial Terms of Endearment."
He is voiced by Alan Tudyk.
Biography[]
Stewart has a large jew-fro similar to Kyle, he wears a red hoodie, blue pants, and black shoes. Stewart lives in South Park with his father Jonathan, his mother Aubrey, and his 6-year old sister Leslie.
While originally voicing Stewart without any computer manipulation, Tudyk now speaks within his normal vocal range while adding a childlike inflection. The recorded audio is then edited with Pro Tools, and the pitch is altered to make the voice sound more like that of a fourth grader.
Stewart is shown to be in a poor household living with his father, his mother, and his 6-year old sister Leslie. It also seems likely that he is the only one of his parents' children they care about, which is why he has to take care of his sister Leslie. Stewart is shown to be a stereotypical nerdy Jewish boy who spends most of his time on his laptop playing video games and surfing the internet. He is often teased for being smart and having an above average vocabulary.
Personality[]
Stewart is shown to be an angry, mean, kinda nice, protective, smarter than he appears, and very much a geeky nerd. He dislikes stupid people and bullies. Despite this, he is not as good at sports as the rest of the boys in town, but rather likes to spend his time on computers or reading books. He is shown to hate his parents as well; he hates that they keep him locked up inside because of his bad grades and his mother forcing him to go to school. His mother is shown to be overprotective and strict towards him, which is what leads him to act out and rebel. He swears and yells at his father and mother whenever they try to control him and his life.
Stewart loves reading comic books and watching TV shows such as Scooby Doo, Cheers, and Diff'rent Strokes. He is shown to be very knowledgeable about many things around him and is an expert on history. He is a fan of Star Wars and Star Trek He is also shown to be very loyal to his friends and does whatever it takes to protect them. Stewart always protects his sister Leslie from their parents and their abuse towards her. He is also shown to have a short temper and will get mad when he doesn't get his way. He can also be very kind and thoughtful at times, even though he tries to hide it. When random people see him, they say how cute he is, he gets annoyed with that and says "Shut up" or "Go away". His sister Leslie looks up to him and follows after him, she's afraid of their parents and so Stewart has to look out for her.
Stewart has his own website called "StuTube" where he posts videos of himself singing, dancing, rapping, and making fun of people. He is very insecure about his ability to sing and dance, and is shown to be extremely nervous in front of people. He is also shown to be clumsy and has trouble walking. He is also shown to have a bad sense of humor and jokes about anything and everything, which usually backfires on him. Stewart is always calling people names and trying to pick fights with other kids. He is also shown to be very competitive especially when it comes to video games.
Stewart is portrayed as being very intelligent, though he is rarely seen using this intelligence to do anything productive. He has a negative attitude towards his family, believing them to be overprotective and overly strict, although this may be due to his own rebellious behavior. Although he is intelligent and is often shown to be able to solve problems quickly, he is lazy and frequently makes excuses for his laziness.
Stewart often seems to have difficulty communicating with others, such as his parents or teachers, and can be misconstrued as uninterested in conversation. This is possibly due to him being socially awkward and lacking social skills. He can be a lazy, stereotypical, nerdy Jewish boy, who is constantly picked on by his classmates. He is also shown to be very insecure, and can be hurt easily. However, he is shown to have a strong loyalty to those he cares about.
Stewart is known for his computer knowledge, however his knowledge is often limited to playing around with his computer and watching movies online. He tends to make mistakes and fails to realize when he is wrong.
