Sentient Therapy Robot In Night Guard Simulation, also known as Sec-Strings or simply Strings, is the deuteragonist of the POPGOES fangame series.
He is the main protagonist of POPGOES and its cancelled sequel POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest as Frayed Strings, and the deuteragonist of POPGOES Finale. It is a robot who serves as the nightguard of the Popgoes Pizzeria. It was initially created by Fritz Glade, the creator of the pizzeria, as a scarecrow to combat nightmares of the Puppet.
Years later, after the pizzeria was built, it was converted into Sec-Strings and hooked up to the WeaselWare system as a stand-in simulation for a nightguard to test the animatronics at the pizzeria.
During the game, it is manipulated by Simon to free him. Upon following his orders, Simon used Blackrabbit to kill Fritz and free himself.
Appearance[]
As Sec-Strings, it is a slender red robot attached to a stand. It has a diamond-shaped head with a single eye. It also has four long arms, as well as two smaller arms with pens replacing his hands. It has a monitor attached to it's body, recording it's panic levels, and has two fins at the base of his body.
As a scarecrow, it mostly resembles his Sec-Strings form, but is fully red. It is missing his eye and, as its name suggests, is often seen holding strings.
As Frayed Strings, after Simon's attack, it is now heavily damaged, with only two arms left, cracked casing, broken wires, and half of its head ripped off.

- String's gender has been of much debate. It was originally described as male. However, it was changed to be female in an update, before being changed back to male in another update. Kane Carter, the creator of POPGOES, stated that he thought of it as male, but the game's programmer thought of it as female.
- It is speculated to return in the upcoming POPGOES Evergreen.
- It was the previous icon for the Spoilers template on the Heroes Fanon wiki before being replaced by the Titan Speakerman.
