Miles "Tails" Prowler is one of the main protagonists of Mashed web-series, There's Something About…, serving as the deuteragonist of the second chapter.
He is an anthropomorphic fox and skilled inventor who helped develop highly advanced mech suits to battle creatures that threaten their village, until a skilled pilot known as Sonic fought passionately at the odds, giving many of his friends their preparations on the war, until one night, Tails followed Sonic to finish the odds once and for all where he witnessed him turn into a Kaiju Monster at the hands of Baron Robotnik. He is sworn to stop his friend from the curse, even if it means putting an end to his abominable suffering.
He is voiced by Eileen 'EileMonty' Montgomery who also voices two versions of Amy and Cream the Rabbit in the same series and his villainous counterpart’s disguise in There’s something about Amy.
Personality[]
Tails through the story as being obsessive, Tails is sometimes soft spoken and a voice of reason when he comments on Knuckle's role as their leader. He is also ruthless, reluctant, determined, highly intelligent and a selfless defender (like his allies), He is also very caring and concerned towards his friends when he attempted to stop Knuckles from finishing The Titan and making him aware on Big the Cat's injuries, even at first refusing to explain the Kaiju's origins as he understands the pain around his friends, fearing that it might hold them back and lessen their chances of winning. Tails is skilled at making inventions due to being a toymaker as well as being a tactician when he drilled around the Kaiji to fall into the Lava.
Appearance[]
Tails is like his other counterparts, round, short, except he wears a woodworker/Blacksmith uniform with chest fur showing around his collars, including long-sleeved gloves and dark gloves including yellow, leather and purple goggles. He mainly has yellow and white fur, including giant round eyes while sporting round glasses and two Tails, including black snout including whiskered features and dotted freckles.
Biography[]
Tails is first seen aiding the fight against the kanji monstrosity attacking the village, where he is firing lasers at it to damage the latter. He comments over the monster's strength damaging village over the wall. He was frightened over Knuckles's violent plans of beating the monster.
In Part 2, after a Tails appears to comfort Knuckles over Sonic's death and tries to persuade him over being a more open leader, the two then share their plans of destroying the beast as Knuckles remarks on tails involvement and obtaining the Armour. Afterwards the bell rings as Tails and Knuckles spot an incoming threat as Knuckles snatches the binoculars from him to see what is going on, Tails then becomes visibly disgusted over the creature's appearance and hinted about it's true self to Knuckles, much to his realisation and disbelief.
In Part 3, later at dawn, The Monster slowly approaches as Many of Tails friends attempt to slow it's path, Tails manages to use a powerful laser and teared it's limb off, the damage was much for the Beast to retreat, Knuckles attempted to go after and finish the fight but Tails prevents him from doing so, this changes into a heated exchange as Knuckles calls out Tails for being unable to tell him until finally Tails then calmly agrees to tell him.
In Parts 4 and 5, Tails then sets up a campfire and explains his part in the story, back when a mad scientist, Baron Robotnik was hellbent on terrorising the Village with his many robots, Tails along with its residents attempt to fight back with their suits using little of their time until Sonic came along and changed things. Seeing the hero an opportunity for the war after every battle, Tails later came to suspect Sonic becoming more impatient even to the point when Tails was working at his Workshop tirelessly, he had a sense what Sonic was up to, upon hearing a jet ignite and seeing his friend take his Blue mech to resolve the war. Tails was not willing to let his friend go alone if anything would go reckless.
He then followed Sonic secretly with his helicopter and hid in a nearby pipe, secretly seeing the scene unfold, Tails became horrified over Baron Robotnik's success at fusing with the Chaos Emerald, which turned his body into an unrestrained state. Tails unwittingly tells the group that Robotnik had tricked Sonic into giving him the final dose which enhanced the Curse, giving Robotnik's body a sinister yet disturbing glow as the Scientist gleefully laughs, to which Tails sprung out from his vehicle and alerts Sonic about the danger and eager him to return to his Blue unit, Sonic became hesitant over his enemy's state, to which he attempted to run from the scene but Robotnik's Crystals leeched onto Sonic's eyelids instantly, looking back without a second thought, Baron Robotnik gave one last taunt at his enemy before his body deteriorates from all of the exposure from the chaos emerald. Tails fearfully rushes towards Sonic who had collapsed into the ground, coped with his unstable condition, but the latter yells to Tails to get away from him as he rapidly turns into a Kaiji-like beast, Tails caught himself mid-flight and slowly looks up upon his former friend becoming an unbound monster as he screams at Sonic one last time before quickly noticing his Helicopter had been destroyed by the monster, Tails then flew quickly towards Sonic's nearby mech, which then he looks at the monitor screen of his mutated friend inside as he tearfully departs for not being able to save him, he then finally activates the ignition in the mech, escaping from the site, much to his friend's horror.
In Part 6, Miles cautiously explains the Emerald’s fusion with sonic is too undisputed for any attempts of capture or cure, which Amy verbally tears for everything they had been fighting for against their friend, due to Tails cryptically refusing to tell the others, even to the point of attempting to assault him until Knuckles intervenes, due to fearing that they might be unable to be overwhelmed by distraught over the memory of Sonic. which is in frustration that he tries to walk away, But was stopped when Knuckles to draw out more possible outcomes over the Kaiju’s defeat, fearing the possibility that the curse will pass onto another host, which led to Knuckles piloting towards Robotnik’s abandoned lair to confront the monster in the intent of destroying his friend's link with the chaos crystals, which Tails along with his allies follow along, Which Miles intends to drill around during the climactic battle with the Kaiju who had awakened and successfully managed to drop the monster entirely into the pool of lava. However, it was not the end of it as it took an intensifying form from the lava.
In Parts 7 and 8, Tails was seen trying to hold The Kaiju’s lava form with Tesla beams, Tails retreats and knows overwhelm the power charts are spiking rapid and stronger, later when Knuckles and Amy manage dot disorient the Kaiju, one of arms were ripped out by Amy and obtained by Tails, the latter asks Miles about the attack having effect, but it’s power became one with sonic despite feeling a moment of relief, he was swiftly knocked down by the Kaiju along with many vehicles, Tails and cream were later saved by Big’s sacrifice upon witnessing, many of his friends were combated with grief and great sadness. Tails sees Amy attempting to reason with the Kaiji and reacted with hope when he sees the color change to Blue, but the moment was interrupted with Knuckles who merged himself with one of the shards to become a kaiju hybrid, Tails persuades his friends to not lose hope and pray one of the beasts will fall down and rooted for Knuckles to give enough power to beat Sonic. In the aftermath of the fight, Tails quickly alerts his friends to exterminate Knuckles who pulled out the shards, fearing for the worse that he’ll end up in the cave again to become stronger, which then he optimised with a full extent of their powers and aiming directly to Knuckles with every fire power, leaving Knuckles to presumably collapse.
In the Part 9, Amy then reads a radar of a regular Sonic emerging from the shadows and briefly Tails attempts to warn her of not getting her emotions take the better of her. Tails along with his friends reacted with surprise and relief over Sonic as they calmly exited their mechs with a happy greeting, but Amy realises how badly charred and corrupted Sonic is, the latter with a comforted remark feeling no pain which Tails reassures with a unceasing smile, when Amy mentioned the emeralds, Sonic reacted with fear but Tails reassures his old friend about Knuckle’s noble sacrifice, Sonic explains he tried his best to combat his hatred of the Kaiju and coming back each time on the cave, Tails looks back after Sonic foresees his comment of Knuckles and ponders when Amy asks about their friend and Tails planned on providing everything he could do to help sonic as he turned around and about to utter the infamous line before quickly being crushed to death by the recovered Kaiju Knuckles who then brought his homeworld to extinction.
Trivia[]
- This version of Tails had his colour themed vehicles with his own, including his vehicle mech (a drill with his face on front) which is how foxes live under holes, which he dug around Kaiju Sonic.
- This version of Tails rides a Helicopter, instead of a plane. His other vehicle is a drill, referring to foxes who dig holes to hunt their prey.
