King Bowser Koopa Senior, also known as simply Bowser, is a major protagonist of the 2011 Australian adult-animated web series SMG4, being the tritagonist of the Classic Era and a supporting character in the Modern era. He is the idiotic king of the Koopa Kingdom who is an ally of SMG4 and his gang.

He is one of the two main antagonists (alongside SMG3) of Season 1, the tritagonist of Seasons 2 to 6, a supporting character in Seasons 7-12, and a major character in Season 13 and The Perfection Arc.

His voice clips are provided by Kenny James while his singing voice in SM64: War Of The Fat Italians 2016 (900k Special) is provided by David Phillips, also known as CosplayerGoesTo.

Appearance

Bowser is an overweight koopa with a spiked shell, yellow and green skin, red eyes and red hair.

Personality

Much like Mario, Bowser is idiotic, lazy and incompetent. In earlier seasons, he often worked as a villain, assisting SMG3 in his evil plans or enacting them himself. However, in later season, Bowser redeemed himself and became a friend of Mario and SMG4.

He is often shown to be neglectful and abusive to his children, mainly Bowser Jr. Despite this, due to his redemption, he has become more thoughtful of them, commenting that he should be treating them better.

Trivia

• Bowser is one of the oldest SMG4 characters, first appearing in the second episode.
• Bowser especially loves chicken nuggets.
• Bowser is often been represented as gay, mainly due to the 'So Long, Gay Bowser' meme. However, in 'SMG4: Mario Waits in Line For Spaghetti', Bowser finally confirmed that he wasn't gay.
• Despite being neglectful and abusive, Bowser still seems to be a loving father to Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, as he worked hard enough to get an A in Princess Peach's parenting class so he could regain custody of them.
  • On a similar note, Bowser also seems to have a father-daughter relationship with Meggy Spletzer at times, such as helping her cook a Thanksgiving meal in 'SMG4: Mario and The Bob Mansion...'.
