IT IS I, THE REAL FREDBEAR.
~ The Real Fredbear's signature quote.
GAZE UPON MY GLORIOUS SPRINGLOCKS.
~ The Real Fredbear before revealing his springlocks.
Once I give you life, you'll never be able to stop until you free everyone who's waiting to be freed. Can you do this for us? I need you to promise that you'll save everyone. Please. Make the world brand new.
~ The Real Fredbear making Jack promise to save everyone.

The Real Fredbear or just Fredbear is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Blackjack) of the Five Nights at Freddy's fangame series Dayshift at Freddy's.

He is, as the name would imply, the original version of the Fredbear suit who serves as a protector of the missing children, with him wanting to give them their happiest day, he resurrects Jack Kennedy under the promise that he will free the tormented souls, depending on what route you choose to take in the game, this goal will be accomplished.

Appearance[]

The Real Fredbear takes on the appearance of a realistic looking yellow bear with a purple hat and bow-tie. He possesses springlocks underneath his mouth which he will use to either entice, or attack.

Personality[]

The Real Fredbear is shown to have a benevolent and caring personality, with him wishing to give the lost souls their happiest day and resurrecting Jack Kennedy in order to do it, he's also shown to have a lot of compassion, as he goes out of his way to apologize for Jack getting stuffed inside of him.

He is also shown to have a more wrathful side, specifically when Jack breaks his promise, with him berating him and saying that he is even worse than both William and Henry.

Biography[]

Prologue[]

Priot to the events of the series, Jack Kennedy, who had been working at Fredbear's Family Diner, wound up being caught by the animatronics and stuffed inside of Fredbear's suit.

It is when this happens that the Real Fredbear enters the scene, apologizing for the fact that Jack was stuffed inside of the suit, stating that it's just how things are. From there, Fredbear makes a proposition to Jack, stating that he would bring Jack back to life under the promise that he would give the previous victims of Dave and Henry their happiest day, after Jack promises to do so, the Real Fredbear brings him back to life as a soulless husk whose only purpose now is to give the missing children their happiest day.

Dayshift at Freddy's Remastered[]

The Real Fredbear only appears in one of the endings of this game, that being the Happiest Day ending, where he descends from the heavens and allows the children to gaze upon his glorious springlocks, with the purpose of distracting them so that Jack can achieve the happiest day.

Aside from his single physical appearance, as the Real Fredbear is the reason Jack is in Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria at all also gives him influence over the other endings.

Dayshift at Freddy's 2[]

The Real Fredbear makes an appearance within two of the endings in this game. The first one being the True Ending where he appears to stop Davetrap from killing Peter and help Jack achieve the Happiest Day.

The second ending he appears in is "An Ending" where after Jack has managed to descend to ultimate levels of villainy, comes in to stop him, berating him for how he made a promise to him and how he completely shattered it, and how he makes both Dave and Henry look like a joke, from there a battle begins. The Real Fredbear is ultimately defeated by Jack hitting him with cold hard truths about how he failed in his mission to save the missing children, leading him to losing all will he had to fight and thus allowing his defeat. Interestingly, if the player has Jack achieve the True Ending after this ending, Blackjack will state at the end that he told Fredbear of what he had done previously and that he has learned to forgive him.

Dayshift at Freddy's 3[]

The Real Fredbear only appears physically in the True Ending, right at the tail end of it, when Jack is burning along wit the rest of the Pizza Place he had built up just so he could free everyone's souls, the Real Fredbear appears within the fire, nodding to him, thanking him for keeping his promise and saving all of the lost souls, giving them their happiest day.

Despite only physically appearing in this ending, the Real Fredbear has an overall influence over this game, with many of the characters mentioning him and the dialogue cursor being his face.
