Treadshot, later known as Treadshot Prime, is the main protagonist of the Ascensionverse, a Transformers fan series created by Crosshairs Productions.
He is a heroic Decepticon scout from an alternate reality where the Decepticons are heroes and the Autobots are evil. After accidentally absorbing the Autobots pretender prototype and going through their mysterious portal they built, he was transported into the main universe and met the human Grace, who he fell in love with. He soon learned that this universe’s Autobots were heroes and Decepticons were villains and getting caught up in an multi-vertical conflict, saving the main universe from his universe’s Optimus Prime and retiring.
He would eventually come out of retirement upon the failure of his human body and helped the Autobots combat the returned evil Megatron and Decepticons. After Megatron killed Optimus, he succeeded him as leader of the Autobots and as of the Season 2 finale, he is now known as Treadshot Prime.
Appearance[]
Treadshot was originally a mid-sized Transformer with a car-based alt-form. He had a blue, black, and yellow colour scheme along with a black and silver head. His eyes were blue and his chest bore a bright red Decepticon insignia.
Upon accepting the Matrix of Leadership and becoming the new prime, he now has a large body with a bulkier frame though his color scheme remains the same.
Personality[]
Treadshot is a warrior devoted to the cause of justice. He is unwavering in doing what he believes is right and protecting his love, Grace, and ensuring they can have a happy life together. He also has a merciful side, sympathizing with both Kickover and Prowl despite them being jerks to him and being willing to give his enemies a second chance such as accepting Deadlock into the Autobot cause with no hard feelings.
However, Treadshot is secretly burdened with guilt from all those he killed and attacked even if they were enemies dedicated to his destruction and the subjugation of the universe. The reason he desires to be human is because he feels war has made Cybertronians lose their purpose and because human lives were so short, they were also more precious and meaningful.
Treadshot also does have a snarky side to him as well, smiling a bit sadistically when blowing up the evil Bumblebee, mockingly asking what the detonator did before activating it and taunting the evil Optimus during their final duel.
Trivia[]
- Treadshot and his universe are based of Transformers: Shattered Glass, a comic book set in a mirror universe where Autobots were evil and Decepticons were good. Treadshot himself was a devoted warrior who was the archenemy of his former best friend and Optimus Prime’s brother, Ultra Magnus.
