Eventually, after wandering through Fazbear Frights for a few minutes, he comes into the office of the security guard, where he stumbles upon a mysterious locked box, opening it, he was greeted by Glitchtrap, who proceeds to offer William a deal to fix his mistakes. Agreeing to it, William is sent back into the past, just before his first kill. Knocking his past self to the floor allowing the kid he was about to kill to presumably escape, the past version of William attempts to flee, only to come face to face with a police officer, and while he inially was ready to fight back. After a drop of water on the ceiling caused the springlocks of his suit to come loose, they all clamp down on him and he is killed.
Present day William, having done what he said out to do, after Glichtrap waves him goodbye and disappears, William himself, now having prevented the stream of events that lead to his existence, begins fading away, accepting his death knowing that he mended his mistakes.
